I actually don't remember making this map at all! But I looked at the overhead view in the editor and I definitely see the kind of DTWID angles-everywhere style I was into back then. I wish I knew dobu gabu maru's mapping style at the time because I would have made something more appropriate for him, because let me tell you, this layout is garbo for what he wanted to do with it! haha I died way too many times and got really mad a lot. It's so congested with monsters that I can't get around these bounding boxes with all these weird shaped rooms! What a contrast from the speedmap I made yesterday lol. I often get angry when I play when I play dobu gabu maru's maps so I anticipated a really stupid-hard map. In my first demo, I got stuck in the shell box trap on the west wing when I played in prboom cl2. Then stuck there again like an idiot in the second demo because I tried to see if I broke something with a use-once linedef action or something. After looking in the editor, the monsters in sector tagged 18 are stuck in the ceiling so the floor you need to get out doesn't move. I didn't find the secret super shotty, but I imagine it would be useless that late in the map anyway since all the tough monsters are dead by then. If you download this expecting the kind of handholding I do for players in my maps now, you will definitely be disappointed here!
