As somebody who mapped for it, I took an interest. There's some good stuff in there, but it does take a bit of sifting for, depending on taste. The words "speed map" and "relaxed" are apparently very open to interpretation.

Yes, I did, and no one has reacted to my posts in the DW thread for days. Myself & Jimmy (both project leads) are asking you to remove it entirely from MODDB and all other locations you've posted it. A lack of response is the same as a response saying "no". The thread was left idle for approximately a month, that does not constitute abandonment. Currently both Jimmy & myself have been very busy the last couple of months IRL. That's not to say it won't be compiled, just that it hasn't happened yet. |

This is where is gets hairy. The compilation is fine but you're not really in a position to determine the finished state of the project. It's best to leave it to those in charge. The final release has been delayed three months from the stated release date. With respect to the people who contributed to the project, it's my personal opinion that the work associated with testing and compiling the project really ought to be delegated to someone else if the leaders are too busy to do it. |

Far as I looked, he didn't even contribute to this one, which makes entire situation much worse. There are much cleaner ways to get revenge and it doesn't involve taking someone's project.

I wanted to make it easier for interested players to get a nice, finished megawad, and that's it. It was meant as a service to the wider community. Seriously, stop the libel. |

You're just trying packaging people's maps out to doomers in an easy and user-friendly way. I can get behind that. The Doom community has seen these types of conflicts before and I think we forget that not everyone has seen how these are resolved. It's been understood that it's unfair to the project leads to not have autonomy over the projects they start. If compiling loose maps is something you like doing, Doomer Boards Projects could likely use your help. There's a push to get everything done and out the door at the end of each month, so having a guy who's able to quickly get the textures and maps all bundled together would take a lot of weight off the project manager's shoulders. It would free them up to work on other more important stuff. There's a level of consistency we seek to maintain throughout the projects, but we can walk you through it. |
