Gate of Steiner

Steins;Gate is a series originating from a visual novel and while I have played the first visual novel I have never achieved the true ending and that is because visual novels are difficult. There I was, lost in time living the same moments over and over to prevent the tragic inevitable.. the heartbreak almost too much to bear as the facade of my time travelling life gnawed on me with maddening guilt with thine soul dried and resolved to shed further stale. That's what a bad ending looks like but I don't remember what ending I received in the final stretch of the Steins;Gate experience. I experienced several endings thanks to the power of the Save Game feature... but I still could not achieve the true ending as my divergence meter would betray me every time and I was doomed in the world that I took for granted for my saved games only went back so far... and that I never concluded playing again 100% with a time traveler's guidebook. If you've played the visual novel you would know just how scary that daughter of the CRT shopkeeper can be.... Many fascinating theories about time travel are open to you if you seek to experience Steins;Gate. 

The concept of parallel universes and alternate realities makes me uncomfortable. Just what kind of simulation are we living in? Personally I can get by with time travel but only so long as we don't get wrapped up in inter-dimensional temporal warfare. Factions constantly in a war to gain the upper hand upon the other using their own time machines....

Steins;Gate also has a great anime! You should give it a watch (optionally with some chicken tenders) if you haven't already since it's from 2011.

Has anyone here played Steins;Gate 0? I haven't and would like to know more. The anime was okay but I'd rather have the VN experience I suppose.
