Since when does Glen have the ability to ban anyone from Doomer Boards? Granting an individual with such a questionable posting history the right to ban or alter the statuses of other forum members seems like an odd choice.
EDIT: Oh I get it now, Doomkid meant that Glen banned Decay from the "Doomer Boards" Discord group. I assume this is correct, Doomkid?

you assume correctly. The discord is an "unofficial" offshoot with all the powers and legitimacy of fan-fiction.

I started up a small public discussion in the server, about opening up a new channel where we focus on the projects, unfortunately it got turned down immediately. That is all that really happened Were the messages deleted? I don't remember reading such discussion. Hopefully I just got a bad impression, this whole thing left a really bad taste in my mouth  |

Eris 6:10 have you considered changing the series name? AD_79 6:10 yeah imo that's the thing that hurts it the most the association with db Eris 6:10 "doomer boards" in the titles tends to put people off Doomkid 6:10 That makes sense to me Eris 6:11 as far as I can tell most of the people involved with these projects are cool folk and don't deserve to have their work dragged down by negative connotations It's been 4 years and people still think DoomerBoards is just a haven for EE posters and banned users? |

Doomer Boards is a place for everyone, always has been. I think the only pre-requisite is be a Doom fan. This is a Doom discussion forum, for players, and modders. I originally created this place because I wanted to be in control of the moderation. I asked a few people I was friends with to sign-up, and later others followed. Then I assembled people that I thought were cool to talk to, to help me run the place. Then I decided I didn't want to have the responsibility anymore, and I took a hiatus from Doom completely. Therefore, I passed the administration-ship off to 40 oz. He was recommended by long-standing members & staff in a secret thread I posted, and was best fit for the position. Now, I have zero dealings in the administration of the site, officially with Proboards. |

Perhaps people that think this site has negative connotations, should consider the fact that my projects, by themselves have been very well received by the public. Most people don't give a rats ass about drama on forums, or what a bunch of obscure sore asses in forums think. My projects have been number 1 on moddb, toping even Brutal Doom for a short time, while still remaining consistently popular there. How many of these people casting stones have been featured in high-profile gaming publications, like my works have done? I have tens of thousands of downloads, and will be remembered in this community for the merit of my work, a lot longer than the vast majority of my contemporaries.
