Well, it looks like the thoughtpolice got me and I won't be the last one. Only have two active warnings though, didn't you need 3 to get permabanned?
I am a long-tine mapper and have a Doom 3-inspired WAD in the making but I can't even access my own maps anymore. Seems I will fit here though.

I can't see anything on the site, not even the links to my maps.
If you want to try one of my WADs, try RetributioN Trilogy, I have maps in JOM 4 and 6 and a preview map of my Doom 3 project called Primary Excavation site. Also made one for JOM 3 but it was kind of trollish.

Maybe log out, refresh your cache and try again... you should be able to see your stuff even if you're banned... I could tell you were on thin ice after all the Ion Fury stuff heh

The post that got me banned was probably the one on Ion Maiden where I say that I don't care if you're trans as long as you don't shove your opinions down my throat. Therefore, using my amazing powers of deduction (lol) it was probably Esselfortium. Shame really because I really like their maps. Welcome Doomro! Glad that you are here! If you want to talk politics with doomers or get engaged in some sweet projects, you can do both of those things here.
There used to be political shitstorms of DW all the time, it was great for us sickos who like that kind of thing. But, since the tides changed a few years ago, I've pretty much avoided being political over there. I know it can be really hard sometimes. Glad to have another person to argue with every few months when a political thread pops up, that's always fun. that sounds like something a conservative would say to me ಠ_ಠ |

The way to avoid a DW ban is to avoid speaking any political opinion, particularly a rightwing one. There used to be political shitstorms of DW all the time, it was great for us sickos who like that kind of thing. Doomworld has had a pretty big impact on my life and is the reason I am working to start a career in game design. I even wanted to hire a few of the really talented people over there. I couldn't even defend myself and don't even know who banned me. I can't even access my maps anymore which really pisses me off. I just can't believe it's full of these far-left loonies now. Since when is it like this? Is the Quake community retarded too these days? I'm more of a libertarian so a person can believe whatever they want as long as they don't shove it down my throat and tell me how terrible my gender and race are. |

Now that I think about it, it was probably bait for spergs like me. It's ok, I think I can use a VPN but thanks for trying but you are welcome to try my maps if you want. I think I posted their names in this thread. One thing they should definitely improve about their site is not to let maps slide into oblivion. There should be a random map selection every day. I like to speculate about new FPS games, sometimes more than actually playing them. It gets my game designer gears running. |

Hang on, are you saying you don’t have local copies of your own maps? Of course I do but what if my HDD gets fried or something? Guess I'm gonna put them on Google Drive or something. No way I am losing my maps. Either way, I can access it in incognito mode. Can you still upload on idgames if you got banned? If you want, you guys could play my maps and give me some feedback. Just be aware that the Doom 3 map has a rather rough start (I wanted to make it survival horror) and the final area is very underdetailed. Both problems have been fixed in the new, as-of-yet unpublished version though. |

There is no "banned" under your name, not even when people click your profile. As for the far-left loonies, they've always been on Doomworld, and DW itself has always had drama with other Doom sites (DW-Realm 667;DW-Zdoom (iirc);DW-[That one site moderated by WMull];DW-DoomerBoards and I think even DW-Skulltag). You can find these all around Paul Corfiatis's mockwads like Community is Falling trilogy (yes, it needed a trilogy, and still feels incomplete). As for the far-left loonies being in power, it's partly DW mirroring the real world (especially in non-balting western countries), partly the change in moderation and direction with new DW's design (when they updated the site), and partly a very important and level-headed DW staffer and all around contributor dying (Ty Halderman, may he rest in peace). Either way, DW drama is neither interesting nor surprising. The site may yet revive if they change something soon, otherwise...goodbye Doomworld in a few years. Most of the cool people were either banned, left, or are stepping on eggshells, so you're not missing anything anyways. |

Now that is just a sad and cowardly way of avoiding responsibility and you can tell these rules aren't applied fairly. For example, a user called dew directly insulted me and got away with it (and also gloated about it) while I never directly insulted anyone. The only reason I miss Doomworld is because I can't advertise my WADs in the WADs section and I'm not sure if I can participate in the cool community projects anymore. They thought I was trolling but I was really not. It may be mirroring the real world but it sure isn't mirroring what's going on in my part of the world. We've got MUCH bigger problems than pronouns or what some dev said in a Discord channel around here, let me tell you. The "problems" they have seem very silly around these parts. It has always seemed to me that only people from rich countries make up these issues and then small countries like mine get caught in the middle and that's exactly what happened last century when we got buttfucked by both the nazis and the commies as well as our own unique flavor of christian fascism. The irony is that these far leftists types are against imperialism but they fail to see that what they are doing is a kind of cultural imperialism because they expect everyone to believe in their weird culty beliefs no matter where they come from. Just look at how they bully Hungary and Poland for instance. This might seem offtopic but Doomworld is but a symptom of a much larger problem and it's going to get worse. I'm just really angry because the forum had a very positive effect on me and got me through some pretty rough times and I was really hoping it would remain an oasis untouched by all this internet madness. |
