40oz Well in the forum we had. The shoutbox was waayyyy at the very bottom. So there was really no way to see them unless you purposely scrolled down to see it. heres a link to the archived forum (the one using ProBoards). So you can see it in action  Old forum Lol I'm not really following you. What is it that you like about it? It just looks like a nonsense thread that happens to be on the front page all day, every day. Dont get me wrong, if you have pointless stuff to say, by all means, make all the threads you want. I just don't get the appeal of putting it up for display on the home page. |

There have been times when I wished we had a shoutbox for linking small articles. Things that aren't big or interesting enough to warrant an entire thread. You know, quick read material.
Then again, when I look at the way you guys use it, I have second thoughts. Seems kind of pointless to just shout random stuff for the sake of it, lol. I get that it's funny though. Maybe not something you'd want to see on the front page of the forums, however.

I'm working on it. Apparently if you change the color of links to blue, it also changes the color of all clickable text (spoilers, member names, board names, thread titles etc.) which looks kinda gross on this warm color-themed layout.
I'm gonna make a thread on the proboard's support forum asking if they have a way to do it for hyperlinks in posts only and hopefully they will respond with an answer.

Ok I got it. The links used to be orange, but blue is the more universal color, apparently. I changed it to white one, #4. because that's the one I like the best (I prefer neutral tones) but if you prefer something different, here's a list of shades if you like something else better.  |

Yeah I've found some code that lets me change the color of hyperlinks in posts. It's set to #4: White for now. Apparently it changes back to orange when you click on them though.
@manil0 Can you just post them in Doom general?

Thing is that text by default on this site seems to be white, atleast on my computer and I'm pretty sure a few other computers as well.. so it doesn't stand out and I don't see it.  So I'd go with 5 or something, personally. : ) |

I'll hop on the #5 train, as well. As long as it isn't the same color as the body text, because it makes links unnoticeable.

Can we have a static forum background? The bloodfalls looked cool...but now it is just looks weird and lags up my phone.
How about we use that creepy face texture that can be seen at the beginning of Icon of Sin?
Or any of the E1 wall textures...just anything static.

You know you could easily change the forum them to "40oz" which is a static wallpaper. Go you your profile > then edit profile > settings > and select "40oz" |

Hey 40, I really dig your layout for the site. The banner is badass.
I enjoy doing stuff on photoshop...think I could submit a banner for the banner menu? Maybe other members can, too. I think that'd be cool if I could select a "BattleKirby" or "Doomkid" theme or something like that.

Can we please have some of the old emoticons back? Like just some of the generic vanilla smiley faces? Most of the new ones seem like they mostly fit in niche situations and most aren't even used. ;P
