Hey! Cybernity is an ooold project that I began in 2008. These 5 maps was created between 2008 and 2012. I improved certains maps, especially the map01 Which had modifications over time. Cybernity was never my main project. I would like to make 8 maps to complete this wad. For the moment, this version don't include skill settings, it's supposed to be in UV difficulty. Omg looks so cool! Are you gonna post this in dw too? Edit: and by 8 maps you mean the full set will have 8 maps? Or you will make 8 more maps?

I agree, It has a look that reminds me a lot of early 2010's of Doom mapping -- nobody makes good ol' Doom 2 techbases anymore. I wanted to play this yesterday but I was too busy trying to boot up DBP #02. I can't wait to try this. Probably some time this week. Whats to plan for the rest of the maps? Is this a beta release with more maps coming later? Are you looking for demos / testing feedback? Are you looking for help with mapping? Or are you releasing this as is so you can focus on something else?

Holy crap this is a blast from the past! I forgot people used to make maps like this!! I felt like it was 2007 again, when deathz0r was still writing all of doomworld's /newstuff reviews. These maps are really nice looking but they are very cluttered. In the last ten years, people have been screaming "gameplay, gameplay, gameplay!" and these types of maps with 4-pixel-grid detailing and crazy attention to texture alignment just disappeared off the face of the earth. I remember many people would post screenshots of these types of maps but they'd almost never finish them.
I'm only on MAP04. This isn't easy to pistol start. It feels like continuous play is intended?

Whats to plan for the rest of the maps? Is this a beta release with more maps coming later? You can considerate that it's a beta release there are not difiiculty settings implented for the moment, and I would like to continue the wad with 3 others maps. Map06 was already started in 2013, and I have 2 other maps which might be included. Rather a demo, this project was sleeping in my DD for too long, and I think It's time that I dig up this on a board I can't release an inacheved project, that's why I have a lot of sleeping project in my computer x) Each map is pistol start compatible, but I understand that the map04 is hard, with a lot of hitscanners... The map05 is probably harder x) Also, thanks for my Birthday

Happy birthday franckFRAG! Fdas...Got stuck on MAP05 trees 174 and 179 seem to be the problem. Nice set so far overall. It didn't feel so hard on pistol start imo, you have to be careful with the health but difficulty is fair. Wasn't able to finish MAP04 because near the ending I jumped down in one those death pits at the start lol. It's very interesting visually, I'm always amazed at how some people can work so well with the stock textures. Top notch choice for MAP05 music. Holy crap this is a blast from the past! This is a part of history that I partly missed because I started to pay attention to the community later, but I can see that this style is somehow deprecated now, or got abandoned in favor of "layout and flow" and more clean visuals. But there some oddballs these days that to a certain extent are the heirs of that overdetailed style like Going Down and Breach.

Thanks for your FDA Gaspe Effectivly, too bad that you are stucked between these trees, I would have liked to see you finishing this map I think to add a switchable teleporter, or something else in the death pit... The next maps will look like that :

Haha, I remember commenting on this almost a decade ago so it's great to finally be able to play it, it's a style I miss (the modern clean mapping style more often than not comes off looking sterile and mass produced and "undoomy").. franckFRAG , [WH]-Wilou84 I've always thought of both of you and JCD and the rest of the French community as international treasures to Doom and selfishly I hope you'll never stop mapping.
