" Worst ripoff ever" - GIGN "Isn't Minecraft for like, 12 yr olds or something?" - buzzwreck "What is wrong with Doom?" - Doomwarudo "This game is so stupid, literally no goal or anything, you are just becoming more stupid and stupid as you play the game, its a fact!" - potential haters of this. "Wow, really, Korbi? This? For real? Seriously" - you, upon reading this. So yeah, I am going to revisit Minecraft, pirated acquired the 1.12.2 version, after something corrupted my 1.7.10 version. I didn't even have that much mods ffs! Ah baloonies! So yeah, here we go, made a world already, called it: "Korbes", no imagination at this part. After 2 minutes of making the world, I was spawned on top of a tree in a plains biome, I think. A LOT of things have changed apparently! Now there is auto-jump (removed that function as quickly as kebab), and I haven't even bothered looking at what changed when I acquired the game, I was used to playing on 1.7.10 with mah mods, and last time I played was around Christmas this year. I love Minecraft, when it is shown to me as this; a sandboxy adventure waiting to unfold. No Youtube playthroughs, no community toxicity, just what the game is, and what the game could be. For the original instance, I planned to load up my 1.7.10 and play the San Andreas map that boxed me in once; that shit was a partial remake of the Los Santos area from GTA San Andreas. The creators of the map, of course, placed a glass dome around it. I was FUCKING PISSED when I had seen this. I was angry beyond reason, literally. I could go on and on about analyzing why I hate being boxed in like that (even though the glass was easily breakable), I immediately turned up the difficulty slider and tried to climb my way out of the glass dome, it had a opening on top due to the height limits. I thought it would be a great "FUCK YOU" to the map makers because FUCK THEIR STUPID ASS DOME AND FUCK THEIR ATTEMPTS TO INCARERATE ME IN THIS STUPID ASS SHIT DOME FUCK THAT SHIT FUCK FUCK. I wanted to do a "replay" of the experience, but 1.7.10 broke and the logs don't provide much explanation, so I went forward and just acquired the newest version. Back to the game at hand: After setting up the graphics (it can lag badly on my poor laptop), I saw this: My strategy for now is to become the KING OF BREAD!!! that is, to harvest this world and turn it into Bread Land (not really connected to the topic), and make me its king! I will make farms using the leet strats I can remember, and will try to fend off all the challenges that await me as a KING OF BREAD!!! I will try and not look at wiki or any tutorials, and will do everything out of memory, like a weird Necron and Tyranid hybrid; awaken from the long slumber and rule the world, whilst harvesting it :3 Now to put on my favorite synthwave/retrowave livestream from youtube and to do my shit (I like to turn off the ingame music and listen to my music) Still dunno which difficulty I should put it on, maybe, for the sake of it, lets go on Hard Oh look, you can lock difficulties in this game! Hmm... should I lock it or not? One coin flip later determined that I will lock it on the "Hard" difficulty... Hmm, maybe I will try Hardcore mode next time (no respawn and hardest difficulty, that shit). Some time later:So uuuuuuhhhh, what can I say... First day done, and I already made a tiny house with everything I need. Fuck. This was TOO EASY! I mean, yeah, it was chillaxing, you know, with synthwave in my ears, shearing all the grass with my sword, fightning the zeddites and the spookies, stuff like that. Day 1 had passed and I was already outfitted for mining in the deeps, or for starting a big project... But I had to stop, because... I feel a bit cheaped out. Minecraft isn't a easy game per se, for me it probably is, but it is missing that creative bit that I love, and which can be found within mods. I miss my 1.7.10, I will try and archvile it back to life. Maybe because I started in the plains? I already had access to all the water, all the dirt, all the wood, all that stuff I need to be the KING OF BREAD!!! but that isn't really the Minecraft I know and love. I loved it when the game pitted me against itself, told me to fuck myself and made me suffer, but when I would strengthen through, like with that San Andreas map, I would feel proud and happy for bearing through it. Minecraft can still spawn me on a tiny island with one tree and say "good luck", but eh, so much for this KING OF BREAD!!! I want to establish my kingdom elsewhere. But not now. I am going to rest or something, and would prolly continue this thread later with something more dynamic and more of that Minecraft I know and love. Peace and chillax will be granted onto you, but only if you post "KORBE U SUCK" in the comment section. Don't do that actually, just chill yall.

Okay that first post was a complete shitshow, but I got some interesting material at hand now. Revived the 1.7.10, cleaned the rust off it, made it run with a bit less lag, and removed some mods which weren't really useful. Here is a list of em: Some of these appear game-breaking (the SmartMoving mod for instance, enables crawling and sprinting and sliding), some are kinda useless and are just for decoration, but a lot of them tons of content and provide more difficulty for me; some of these add dangerous monsters that wonder the land, like ogres, trolls, orcs, variations of zeddites and variations of spookies, and the Mo' Creatures adds regular animals like foxes and rabbits and butterflies and slugs and sneks and whatnot. HOL UP KORBE IS THAT A GUN MOD I SEE U EXPLAIN CHETHER !?!!?!Hol yer horses, its a mod that adds guns, yeah, but wait until you see the basic form of enemies I have to face: Yup, zeddites have guns now. JUST LIKE GOOD OLE DOOM! * rip and tear intensifies* And I don't know what other creatures will spawn eventually as I play. In so far I know there are supposed to be some giants and or golems added into play... Oh yeah, Mo' Creatures add werewolves, and they are fucking dangerous. If I find a gun, I will stick close to it, that is for sure! Oh yeah, I haven't mentioned the objective of this mission: Escape the glass dome and reach the "Exodus" point. Sounds simple on paper. That is because it conceptually is simple, all I have to do is scourge and harvest the content inside the glass dome and prepare myself for escaping the glass dome, transversing the wasteland the map creators made outside the map, and reach the actual terrain of the game. Looks like the minimap mod saved the point I need to reach (which I established on my first playthrough). First several rules to consider: - No cheats (anything ranging from TMI stuff to mod cheats to vanilla cheats) - No difficulty changing - No gamemode switching (counts as cheating) - No dome breaking (its made of glass, easily breakable) - No digging under the dome either Objectives: - Gather as much resources possible to not only escape and survive the wasteland trip, but also to set up a base where I am going to be the KING OF BREAD!!! - Build a tower to scale the glass dome with, preferably with all the safety norms I can think of (to amp up the challenge and not die out of stupidity) - Get down the down (using water, easy af) - Traverse the wasteland - Start building the Bread Land from ground up Optional objectives: - Make a massive arm giving the bird in order to dishonor the makers of the map who thought they were hot shit by making that big ass dome and making a shitty " " "survival" " " map and generally because I am triggered as fuck (preferably out of stone, not out of cobblestone (waste of resources really, makes it harder for me )) That would be all: will be playing on Hard because Hardcore sounds a bit too hardcore right now, I know it means my insult won't be as salty when I beat the map while not on hardcore. Now for some images explaining what and why (as much as it can): This is the border of the dome, focused on the "Exodus" point. One meter is one block in game, so that is atleast a kilometer of a journey from the dome across the wasteland. Thats nothing really, I traverse a kilometer while going to college every day. But in Minecraft, a lot of things can happen in one kilometer. Who knows what dangerous mobs stalk the fields in the wasteland? Also, last time, I surely had to rest two three times while traveling. Days and nights come by quickly in Minecraft, and at night mobs are most active, that is why I need to make space for supplies and for resources, as well for spare tools and a bed, so I can dig a hole in the wasteland and cover it and then hit the bed This is the supposed center of the dome. Notice those strange piston blocks; I don't know what purpose they complete, but I am straying away from touching them, and removing whatever is in the middle of the center. This won't be where my tower will rise though; nah, down the street is where the big project will happen. Here I will try and convert the landmass around into a sustainable farm. Ryder's backyard (not shown) has plenty of dirt for my crops, but I am also going to need dirt for my tower. No way I am going to make a 1x1 dirt tower again. Nah, this time it will be a 9x9 tower just so I don't fall off accidentally, with "water safety nets" on the bottom to catch me in case I do, also torches everywhere in the tower because I don't want to risk mobs spawning on top of it and fucking me up, plus, I don't want any spiders scaling up the tower either. I already have the design schematic in my head, but it will take a lot of space, that is why I am building it down road. Now, which of these houses shall be mine? Well I have chosen the first gray one on the left. Lets take a closer look of it shall we? Not the safest house you can build in Minecraft, yeah, but... iron door. That is already a plus, because zeddites cannot knock down iron doors I know, I can use dirt blocks to block doors like I did in my first gameplay, but that isn't really the most effecient thing you know? That wastes shovel strength This house will simply have to do, it has beds set up (much like all other houses in the Grove Street)... Actually scratch that, I just learned I could simply knock out the wool block underneath the iron door, take it (the door), and place it on the Johnson's house instead of the wooden door it is. Okay. Johnson's house is pretty much set up for a starter base, even if all of the blocks were intended to be decorational, you don't want to put furnaces and crafting tables if you want to fuck with ME! That would be it for now. Now I have to play the damn game I just took the time to showcase you what the whole FUCK YOU thing will be about. Seriously, fuck the mappers. Now I gotta switch the gamemode back to survival, and start it up at morning o' clock (last thing I want is to get fucked as soon as I started the whole ordeal I could survive it, sure, but I think the mappers want people in general to play at morning first... What stupid fucks. See ya when I see ya. In the meantime, Hardbass Power Armor activated. (fuck the mappers )

So I did my studies for today, had a nice long walk in the nature, time to sit down and do some Minecraft! (no screenshots bc i am a lazy fuck) Day 1 (ingame of course): I immediately headed out to the shops in the neighboring streets, knowing fully that, just out of decoration, the mappers placed a lot of great loot in them. For instance, this "clothes shop" had diamond and iron armor on display. Of course, I took that stuff immediately. Then, afterwards, I went for the "tools" shop, and took the iron tools + the misc tools. All in all: iron shovel, iron axe, iron pickaxe, iron rake, fishing rod, shears and flint & steel. Hehe, and this was supposed to be a survival map? Maybe for some "Hunger games" type of PvP where players would fight each other in the dome. Not me though. With the hard difficulty still on, I took what I could. Not only that, but I ran to this "bakery" which had 4 breads on display, 3 pumpkin pies and a cake. Then I ran back to the Grove Street, took all the furnaces and switches I could find (the mappers used switches as "water pipes", purely decorational), and properly wired the base (Johnson's House) so I could go in and out easily. I ate one bread to restore the energy I spent casually swaggering between the stores. Why did I go slow? Food is scarce. Extremely. With no crops to plant soon (I have to find a way to transfer water, aka a bucket), I have to resort to looting and stalking around like a cheeki breeki slav stalker I am. I also didn't find any animals yet, but one of the insects from Mo' Creatures mod. I had the stuff from the bakery as food for now, but I need to get myself some decent food. Night fell, and I hit the hay. Day 2:Waking up from the double bed on the second floor, whilst peeking out of the window, my eyes met the gaze of one of the zeddites shown up there. This one was a "Zombie Farmer", apparently (the custom HUD spoke), and he was wandering near the houses on the other side of the Grove Street. I didn't hear any other noises around the house, so I ran out and awaited for the zeddite to attack me. It did, foolishly, and perished as foolishly. Upon death, it dropped some bread and some leather from the cows. So, awesome! The zeddites can now drop stuff! I can probably do some classic MMORPG farming and fight the mobs to retrieve resources I need, especially iron for the damn bucket. I solved the water problem by using the foolishly placed water sources inside "monitors" (a display frame set upon a wall, to resemble a LCD screen I suppose), and then dug out a ditch in the Grove Street, a 2x2 one, and filled the opposite ends with the water source. That is great, now I have infinite water. There is this feature in Minecraft that revolves around adding and removing water sources via bucket. Usually, if I made a 1x1 ditch and filled it with water, next time I would grab it with the bucket it would perish (while filling the bucket), but when you make a 2x2 ditch and place two water sources on opposite ends (usually this is done via buckets, I used the "LCD water"), the water sources fill the remaining holes each out, and you can grab a bucket and create a ocean for all you can care, the water will never run out. Of course, if you aren't a super quick clicker, then it won't be a trouble, but once I accidentally pressed a bit too fast and dried out the infinite water But I won't care really. As soon as I get a bucket, I can start planting crops and I can make the "water safety nets" for my 9x9 dirt tower project. And how do you get a bucket? By getting iron ingots. How do you get iron ingots? Well, you can either mine for iron ores and smelt them (something that isn't a option right now, I might dig myself out of the dome in a frantic search for iron ores, and would waste valuable resources (the tools)), or you can get them by the rule of RNG, as vanilla zeddites could occasionally drop iron ingots. Now the zeddites are split in professions it seems. Because I just fought three "Zombie Miners". Two of them had guns. Highly damaging and accurate ones. I had to retreat, using the "enhanced movement" mod or whatever it is called, and it made for an awesome escape sequence, that is, until I recovered my lost health, and had to face them. I quickly peeked out of the corner, while trying to have the zeddites shoot each other. I only managed to have two three indirect shots damage the zeddites, and I took my sword (oh yeah, more about this later) and slayed the fearless zeddites. The armed ones didn't drop any guns, but I got some ingots. I think I got two? I need at least 3 I think, to get the damn bucket. Damn, a kingdom for want a bucket. Was that properly pronounced? Either way, basically, I took down some trees and got wood, crafted basic things, ya know, sticks and shit. Made a wooden sword along with other wooden tools (while keeping the iron ones in the safety of the chest in the house). There are chests strewn around the maps, but ALL OF THEM ARE EMPTY. I have to literally scavenge what was considered purely decoration to survive. In so far I did good. Day 3:
Woke up, heard a zeddite, but couldn't locate him. I then deducted that he hid himself in the vacant dark house which was sealed off by the mappers themselves (what happens when you want to make a diagonal house for decoration, eh?). Mobs spawn in darkness, and in the canals of the map there are mobs still hiding underneath the bridges. I might engage them in the future. Right now I feel a bit... well... underpowered. Found a zeddite miner on a bridge above the Grove Street. He shot me, of course, five times. I barely survived that, but in return I got some unique loot: Miner's Vest, and Miner's Helm. They had some resistances measured in numbers, but what piqued me was the "Speed Boost" described in the description (you can press SHIFT when the game asks you in order to see the stats, not cheating). I immediately donned them on. The damage resistance was lowered, but I was much more faster, almost as if I was sprinting. You know, this is starting to feel like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I am collecting loot, trying to survive the mobs, while looking for food. That will change however, as soon as I get my bearings and get the bucket. I usually wouldn't be this frustrated with regards to a bucket, but my life is kinda on the line here. Scarce food sources (literally two three cows and a pig, all I found, plus zeddites which drop food (which I have to fight). Oh yeah, I saw some spookies and creepers as well. So the mods didn't eliminate them. Wowsers. I hope creepers don't sneak up to me and fuck me up in this game. Either way, I spent my time smelting and cooking what I got, making wooden coal (is that how it is said? I dunno I am writing this out of memory, for now), and cooking some meat I got. I still have the pastries in the inventory, and I am going to use them first, as cooked meat is better and I should leave it for when it becomes a chore. I also went out, got some dirt, broke me shovel, chopped some trees, got some saplings and seeds. Slowly but surely, once I get the bucket, I will start farming, slowly cycling out the crops so I don't have to wait for days to get bread, but instead get one bread a day, as far as I can calculate (maybe I can get two or three, forgot the Minecraft math). Also, I can already start planting trees so I can harvest them for my building project, not to mention all the tools I am going to break and whatnot. Oh yeah, wood can be used for fuel as well. I need to keep the furnaces burning. Why? Well... stuff. Either either way, day over. Gonna probably post some more in the near future, most notably when I get a bucket and when I get a footholding, and when I convert the Grove Street to a farmland That is when I am going to get some juicy screenshots as well In the meantime... Uhhhh... I dunno. Do as you wish.

So a lot of things happened in a very short timespan. What happened? Well, I got a iron ingot. Just one was needed, because I had other two dropped as loot from the zeddites. And I made a bucket. INDUSTRY MODE ACTIVATED.I immediately established and made two infinite wells, and made a large enough farmland to support my agenda to become the KING OF BREAD!!! (translation: food). Then the foundation for the tower was being laid upon a pool of water, meant to be water safety nets to catch me on the way down. And I went digging. So. Much. Digging. Not only digging, but cutting down wood and chopping down the stone blocks as well. Soon, the most common of resources you can get in Minecraft became the most wanted, in my opinion: DIRT - because I need dirt blocks for my tower, since it is a hollow 9x9 wide but extremely tall (has to reach the height limit of the game). WOOD - because I need to make sticks out of them, which in turn make my: ladders, torches, and fuel. Not to mention sticks because my tools need them to make them. COBBLESTONE - because I keep burning through my tools so fast I need to keep a stack in my inventory so I can make spare ones next time. Lemme tell you, every Minecraft day I burn through 2 stone shovels for digging dirt all the time. AND IT IS NOT ENOUGH *hungry Tyranid squeal*Not to mention whenever I have to harvest wood, my axe is going to be burnt and I have to take out my spare one ASAP. Also Zeddite Miners keep dropping stone pickaxes all the time. And I rarely burn through a stone pickaxe, mostly because I rarely have usage of them (except for harvesting stone ) I dunno how many in-game days have passed, but damn it all to heck if I haven't been a worthy bumblebee in merely two three hours of gameplay, ever since I got the bucket. Here are some screenies, in the imgur link. Some funny details: I have THREE GUNS... but none of them work out of some reason. Either the reload button is broken somehow, or the ammo counter is messed up, but point is: I made some stone bullets (which has been said that these guns would USE), and I fired one shot... game refuses to reload. I am going to take a "day off" in game and try to make it work again. If I get it to work, I might as well get myself a new weapon, besides my trusty stone sword I know I have the iron gear, but I am kinda keeping it, and I already broke the iron axe and the iron shovel (I wanted to try them out, and they were worth it). I used some of the super-rare iron ingots to make a new iron shovel and the new axe (that is 4 INGOTS MOTHERFUCKER! YA KNOW HOW MANY ZEDDITE MINERS DIED TO GET ME THESE INGOTS?! Because I don't know :/) I have to say I made a LOT of progress in one single round (two three hours I believe, one fateful evening). I thought this would stretch on for weeks or something, but the zeddites made my job both harder and easier. Harder in the sense that there are a lot of zeddite GUNMEN (and these boomsticks pwn off a lot of health without proper armor), but easier since they drop the rare loot I would have never find that easily in the dome. I would have probably dug out a sizeable crater without the mods so far, turning the Los Santos into... a dust bowl, with a massive dirt pillar rising above it (and probably a stone hand giving the finger, but at this point that is optional). Also, the Miner's armor gave me LOTS of speed, and as a result, I can dodge bullets. Minecraft is starting to feel like a japanese hack'n'slash done in first person whenever a Zeddite whips out a gun. I whip out my sword and triple dash forward and slide and crouch as the zeddite tries to land a hit on me. I do hate whenever a lag spike happens whenever it shouldn't, and as a result I get mobbed by 4-5 zeddites. I, however, do manage to survive, but barely. If it weren't for the lag spike, all those ambushing zeddites would have only dust to bite. I never died so far, so that is greato. Either way, gotta skedaddle (I hear lightning in the distance, don't want my internet connection get fried).

YAY I WON THE GAME, whoop whoop! No surprise, though, was incredibly easy somehow, still, felt awesome when I did. Screenies, as of course.Well, the feeling wasn't as awesome as the first time, but I still felt wonderful when I got out from the dome, and from the wastes into the regular world of Minecraft (although modded), and with so many things I brought over from the dome, my easy life as a KING OF BREAD!!! is ensured, and my bloody grain would last for a 1000 years at least, if not forever! Well, other than that, what, parkouring over the landscape with the miner's equipment felt awesome, felt like I was in an anime, tbh. Tree from tree, stone to stone, stuff like that, my plan was to travel until I got tired, but then I stumbled onto this cute little village, and I am going to be a winner, yay! What to say... felt a bit... easy? Frankly, I feel like it was. Even with the zeddite gunmen and the resource scare, once I got a bucket I was set for. I literally won the game as soon as I got the bucket. If I didn't, it would be tense I guess. I mean, well, being unable to plant seeds and stuff. I did like the part where I went full industrial and where I burnt through shovels like through paper, and getting as much dirt as possible. Maybe, in another instance, if I ever redo this challenge, I would go forward and make a tower out of WOOD. That... would take a lot of time and dirt as well. But I would burn through shovels AND axes quite soon! Either way, if I ever dare again, the shovels are going to get fucked (Oh yeah, I won the game like two three days ago, bothered to post today)

I haven't seen a Let's Play thread in a long time, it's somewhat quaint.
