is a Limit Removing (cl2) short episode for DOOM 2 by myself, AD_79, Breezeep, memfis, and General Rainbow Bacon DownloadIt was originally planned for 3 episodes of 4 maps each + 1 final map totaling 13 maps. I never got around to finishing the third episode and this project went on a criminally long hiatus because of it, so I've decided to release this abridged version which contains the first two completed episodes + the final map for a total of 9 maps. Part 1: Hell Revealed 2 meets Thy Flesh Consumed theme. Classic 1999-like levels with fast-paced combat. MAP01 40oz MAP02 40oz and Breezeep MAP03 40oz MAP04 40oz and AD_79 Part 2: Swampy dark green/grey Heretic/Hexen theme. Large rooms and vistas with large monster quantities. MAP05 40oz MAP06 40oz and memfis MAP07 40oz MAP08 40oz and General Rainbow Bacon Part 3: Cement, charred rocks, and snakey vines. Suspenseful exploratory levels with jump-scares and high contrast lighting.MAP09 40oz and General Rainbow Bacon* Play Instructions *Ezekiel is a set of levels designed for Limit Removing source ports. That means the levels should run on all source ports except for the vanilla doom executable, or any Doom source ports that crash from visplane overflows. Each level is designed to be played from a pistol start, and for continuous play. The maps have been separated into individual wad files (EZEKIEL1.WAD, EZEKIEL2.WAD, and EZEKIEL3.wad) because that is the only way to assign different skies to the desired maps on the lowest possible compatibility level. Boom Compatible Source portsIf you are playing with an advanced source port such as GZDoom, Zandronum, ZDaemon, Eternity prboom-plus cl 9 or prboom-plus cl -1, there are boom specials that assign the correct sky textures to each map. That means YOU MAY RUN ALL 3 WAD FILES CONSECUTIVELYLimit Removing Source ports or demo recordingIf you are playing with a limit removing source port such as Crispy Doom, Retro Doom, or prboom-plus cl2, OR you are intending to record a demo .lmp, LOAD THE BELOW WAD FILES INDIVIDUALLY TO PLAY THE CORRESPONDING MAPS. DO NOT LOAD ALL THREE WAD FILES AT ONCE.

Ffs couldn't you pack all the maps in one wad? (puke) I rembember the thread on DW, going to record some demos for this

Ohh, I was looking forward to this!
I played Map01 so far and it was a very engaging experience. The gameplay seemed quite intense with no filler fights, and it's cool how you managed to pack in some optional areas in that small space. I "cheated" in the lone baron fight by opening the door, shooting, and immediately closing it (monsters can't open fast doors in classic Doom): perhaps you would like to do something about that, although it's kind of a funny exploit. Nice Thy Flesh Consumed feel too, and I liked the small touches like recolored GSTONE1 and an edit of the impaled human sprite.

I was able to complete only the first, but here are the fdas for the first episode if you (or someone else) cares to watch. It's pretty cool, MAP03 is my favourite. I liked the custom edits based on the stock textures, I might actually steal take inspiration from them. On MAP04 I recognized immediately AD's style, he's a cool mapper, I only wish he got to develop a more personal style, shame that it's kinda disappeared now. Gameplay was spot on with the style you had in mind, MAP02 and 04 felt more modern but I think it's due to the contributors, it gave a nice change though.

Played the rest... The part 2 was better, I liked more the theme, still have to replay the maps I didn't finished though. On MAP06 in the northern area you have to press the right switch to escape right? It's a neat idea but I think that the number of hks could be toned down a bit. I liked the mastermind fight on MAP08. The recreation of the Doom ending in MAP09 is epic, the mastermind setup is basically the same of the previous map though. Also on MAP05 near the end you have a horde of pinkies, and there was the same thing on MAP03. Nothing really critical but in a short mapset if you reuse some setups it becomes rather glaring. Also how do you do those recolored textures? Is something you can do with slade color remap or you need a graphic editing software?

It's a little bit of recoloring, but there's some editing work that I do mostly with MS Paint to give the textures a little more depth. Couldn't this just be in MAP08-MAP15 + MAP31 with MAP15 being a skip map into MAP31?
