If you knew the rules of the place and their stance on racist or controversial content, why do you seem surprised that they don't like it? If you don't like or support their views, post it somewhere else where you think it will be appreciated. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't get it. If you think their views are stupid and they're just looking for something to be offended by, you're pretty much just feeding a troll and acting surprised when it takes the bait.

Or if they didn't want people digging up stuff then maybe he shouldn't have put those things (Folders named after slurs, actors name with the N word etc.) in the first place within his own wads. Even the ZDoom forum rules is against this kind of stuff if he bothered to read them in the first place. do you know that PI number contains racist and homophobic slurs in ASCII encoding? there is even "Hail Hitler, Kill All Jews!" slogan there. and that number is widely used in GZDoom codebase. so i believe that GZDoom should be banned on ZDoom forums, and its author and all contributors should be cancelled.

ketmar proof on that pi stuff? I can't believe a number can be that BASED. it is well-known mathematical fact that PI is transcendental (i.e. it has infinite number of digits), and it contains all possible digit combinations. so PI contains everything, including HORRIBLE THINGS. one just have to compute much enough digits to find it. so if those people are really into data mining, they should already discovered the fact that PI must be cancelled, and everybody who is using PI too. and if they don't want to do that, then they are doing hate actions by selective data mining (i.e. actively seek something wrong only for people they hate), or they themselves are hypocrites, because they are not only accepting the software that is racist and homophobic, but actively promoting it too.

i am deeply sorry that math did damaged your brain, and now you assume that other people will suffer the same consequences from learning math too. and i am sorry again to inform you that there are people (me including) who can learn math without brain injuries.
now, can you disprove that PI is transcendental, and that it's a proven fact that sequence of PI digits contains every combination possible (because PI is not periodical)? or you just wanted to insult me because i was able to learn math, and you didn't?

PI is beautiful. I want to explore PI. There's going to be some amazing stuff in there. So many numbers, and no repeating patterns! JOY.

so you can't argue with math, and therefore decided to use argumentum ad hominem. please, tell us about your math expirience, maybe we will able to help you. then you could start with two basic arithmetic operations, and after some years of training you will be able to include two more complex ones. and then maybe after 15 or 20 years you will learn what "transcendental number" means. 'cmon, fight your fears!

not all transcendental numbers are random, nor contain all subsequences. tho i think pi is perhaps "random"ly distributed and whole?
also, did you know that the set of all conceivable real numbers is countable, including transcendentals? iterate over all encoded algorithms that produce or describe them... or are they countable after all - how do you handle duplicates that converge to the same number, or qualify decidability and the numbers they converge to themselves and etc etc...
muahahaha (i don't know what i'm talking about...)

PI is absolutely not random (that's why you can calculate it, after all). yet it's not periodic (at least nobody proved that PI digits have any period), therefore it contains everything (otherwise it would contain periodic repeats). so anything that can be encoded as a sequence of digits is present in PI somewhere.
(it is slightly more complicated than this, of course, because you also need some proof that any digit can appear, otherwise some combinations won't be possible… but this becomes much more complex than i wanted it to be.)

(at least nobody proved that PI digits have any period) It's more than that. Pi was proven to be transcendental, which means by definition is not infinitely periodic. therefore it contains everything (otherwise it would contain periodic repeats) That it does not contain infinite periodic repeat, does not mean that it can contain any sequence of arbitrary length. The latter is a stronger claim and I don't think it's been proven about any number, although it is quite possible that the property holds.

That it does not contain infinite periodic repeat, does not mean that it can contain any sequence of arbitrary length. i mentioned that. actually, it is enough to prove that it is not periodic, and never reduces to something that start omiting digits. in this case we will either hit any possible combination sooner or later, or a loop. (again, it's slightly more… eh.) anyway, it's accepted knowledge for contemporary math that PI is very likely satisfies all conditions.
