What's so special about myhouse.wad? It's a gzdoom wad featuring a house and backrooms vibes and using a lot of gzdoom mapping features.
Why there's a significant attention to it from outside the doom community? They never seen wall portals?

it's good horror, considering what are "horror games" these days. of course, there is nothing new there (but the amount of work done by the author is impressive). i guess people just miss good horror games in this style.

It seems like its one of the first wads to truly succeed in the creepypasta area of the internet. The wad itself contains a bunch of diary entries, and photos with believable backstory, mystery, and multiple endings. I think the comments about it being the best doomcute wad are over exaggerated unless they haven't seen the kind of stuff I've seen. I might like the wad if I'd known about it sooner but the explosion of hype that rocketed it into trending on every platform kinda soils the mystery for me, right? Not sure what can be said about it that hasn't already been exhaustively examined and speculated over.

UDMF doesn't cause lag on it's own. Played plenty of big ass UDMF maps with dlights and all the works.
But something about this is laggy.

Personally, for me, it was one of the best wads I've played in a long time. There's a lot of content for only one level, different endings, and interesting lore about the story of the wad. It's the only one where I had to create multiple saves to experience the whole wad. |

That's really weird... i don't know what else to say but if this is the sort of stuff that makes it lag... the only theory on it, is that how Myhouse.pk3's has wad files of some monsters (some taken from R667), from what i have heard by some of the Zdoom forum users some time ago, Loading Wad files inside a pk3, while possible, isn't really recommended has it makes loading stuff take longer, it could prehaps be the issue. |

I have never been on one, honestly, what makes it different from an old-school chatroom? I think forums will survive, because... I prefer them and have not tried discord. Fuck discord.
