I want to comment but I can't even think of what to say. Any kind of hyperbole or sarcasm is taken with pure honesty, and anything I'm coming clean about it is a cover up for the evil bitch I really am. I didn't write that thread for the LULZ, I wrote it because I really do think in that hippie kind of way that we need to put our guns down. No one has actually done anything to one another that warrants these endless rivalries. People are cool, and sometimes they make mistakes. But no one is actually out to destroy each other, deep down. If you really talk about what's bothering you, you can get it fixed pretty quickly if you trust that the person is coming from a good place, they just don't know how their actions are effecting other people.

Try to look at things from another perspective? People like that can't be bargined with, unfortunately. It's MEMEME or nothing. Honest, appealing to their better nature isn't worth it. Arguably, appealing to most of our better nature isn't worth it too. Had I have been inclined to respond to dobu gabu maru's response to me, I'd certainly not be coming from a position of reconciliation and understanding. It's why I left it as is. I respect the guy, so the fact that I think his opinion is thoroughly wrong doesn't neeed hashing out over pages. Obviously I believe what I wrote - the Doom community isn't fun to take part in any more. It's just a place to share maps and maybe opine occassionally. I could probably maintain my loose interest in the game without a forum account anywhere, at this point. Just uploading to /idgames when I'm finished producing, just like people used to back in the day.
