I just registered to support the DBP community. I only followed all the discussions 'at distance', but I think you guys just deserve better.
Face it. If it comes too Doom (and that's what it is about i presume), you guys have been delivering monthly top notch wads (although I would prefer to have bimonthly full megawads, lol).
I will continue to visit DW, but rest assured that I will pass along here, for moral purpuses and stuffs.
Be creative, create and have fun. I hope to host DBP39 soon.....

My various speed maps for Eagle and pigeon speedmapping sessions back in 2017-18. Those were actually really good even in hindsight. Also my map for rekkr (e4m1) wasn't too bad.

The world definitely needs more Xeep maps. There's another map of his that Xeep didn't mention... and it's somewhere that I forget, in a standalone Map01 I think. It's a cramped and technical techbase with misplaced mid-tier monsters throughout, but the map was stylish and interesting across the board.
Xeep should make Knee Deep in the Dead style maps and they'd be the best thing since sliced bread.

Tough maps! I see you're a fan of a more 'cryptic' approach, xeepeep. I found that rushing around blindly like a retard is a sure ticket to pain city. And those obscure switches / doors everywhere! I can hear the lamentation of a thousand fat streamers as they cry out in agony and idclip trough the maps. The Rekkr one had a real 'professional' feel to it. You know, as if it was a map in a bought game as opposed to a doom wad (which tends to cater to veteran players). NOT is pretty cool as well though I haven't been able to beat it yet. Getting to use the plasma rifle a lot more than usual was addictive. I'm tempted to put that into the wad I'm currently working on. We'll see if it sticks. |

...It took me about 45 minutes to beat NOT. Lots of meandering to be had. I like the abundance of secrets and the nice special effects (invisible bridges et cetera). You have an interesting style - really something other than the popular "colourful geometric pattern architecture + 200 million monsters" garbage.

I didn't know they charged money for that TC. But after I looked it up I see that they do. Were you also paid as a mapper?
Edit: Maybe I'm missing something but it seems dishonest to charge 5.69 Euro on Steam for a game which is freely available on Idgames. I can't see any mention of it on the Steam page anyway.

Olroda iirc the paid steam release features an extra episode, the initial release is free. Also I think it has some extra gzdoom goodies (since it comes with gzdoom) but I'm not sure. As for your other question, would you believe me if I said I'm not supposed to talk about that?

If there's extra stuff included I get it. Otherwise it would be a strange decision seeing as it will easily piss off someone who buys Rekkr only to find out later that it costs nothing. would you believe me if I said I'm not supposed to talk about that? Heh. I would. |
