Also, I would note that outside of "-iwad" and "-file", there aren't many crucial command line parameters for EDGE-Classic; the defaults are pretty sane (i.e., cheats are allowed by default, sound is on by default, so on and so forth)

IDFA, IDKFA, IDDQD, IDCLEV etc LOL! I've already gotten out of the habit of doing this and continue to type into the console: give, gimme, god... )) By the way, I figured out the errors on the map in k8 and zandronum (and also in doom builder), it seems the matter was in the first line of texture names, I had to create the texture under the first line and associate the necessary patch with it, and rename this first one (for example, it was betslab1, and became betslab0). However, something incomprehensible is happening with things on gzdoom, they are in disarray. www.mediafire.com/file/5hpvk4x9jah1ouq/ilest006.wad/file

As an inquisitive researcher, in the process of my research I also looked at the port qzandronum.com. My file works in this one too. It turns out that some servers accessible via doomseeker included with qzan use the file fakeiwad.wad instead of doom2 or feedm. For example, to play [QZAND] Alphatius. Oh and one more thing: arctic wolf (in EC) starts with some question marks in sprites and textures, but works stable.

581214 does not start, asks for a registered iwad It also works with build k8 541214. As if it saves the settings of the previous iwad, and I launched shareware doom1.wad and after that it did not start. But it works if you run: k8vavoom.exe -iwad ilest006.wad -doom2 Multiplayer emulation works (on one computer), I have not tested a real LAN between two computers.

Just to be sure about what this is, this is a standalone Stalker deathmatch wad? Odd thing to make standalone, but it is an interesting experiment though.

this is, this is a standalone Stalker deathmatch wad? Yes, this is a standalone stalker build 1114 for ID Tech 1 engines. It's just that Doom is Doom, and this is a different game. I think all ID tech 1 engines are too fixated on the game of doom, it limits creativity and style of map making too much. But 2.5D engines are interesting in themselves.

Still, it's more convenient to make ipk3, although it's good for a limited number of ports and it doesn't work as it should everywhere. I tried to build a standalone ipk3 for k8vavoom based on what Nash did. It also runs on Q-zandronum and gzdoom (but the latter has no things). www.mediafire.com/file/uw14ay7mjwhrfxm/testipk3.zip/fileYou can even test the multiplayer. Select Multiplayer -> New Game in the menu, set the level to level 3 (if you download lest_wad.pk3, included), then Start Game and type in the console and enter addbot. The kit also includes an experiment with a player model (not finished). Connect the bdw mod. Launch command in runbat.txt

Tried to run my iwad in DoomXS, adding and adding all the resources that the port required, until I stumbled upon the requirement to add flat something like _||#[] . Stopped for now. As a result ilest006c2.wad runs and plays in the ports: zandronum, qzandronum, vavoom, k8vavoom, Edge-classic, Helion; in gzdoom it runs but something is incomprehensible to me with things, but you can run and shoot. Only the menu runs, but the map does not load and the port crashes, in the following ports: doomxs, odamex, doomlegacy, eternity, zdaemon (in the last two ports, they do not crash, but they say that there is no map01). It was an interesting experience, I got some new information for myself about different ports. I will probably focus on the game for qzandronum and make a standalone ipk3. www.mediafire.com/file/lxvjjopd1oed01a/ilest006c2.wad/file
