Nice! Always glad to see various historical utilities and ports maintained and/or brought up to modern standards.

Gave glDoom a spin for the fun of it. I thought the source code was lost?? Weird little port, just the fuckin menu structure SCREAMS 90s, with the custom doom-font graphics. It really reminds me of Doom Legacy. Takes an eternity to boot up though, like it hasn't gotten the memo that it isn't 1998 anymore, and the console is even more shit than that of Legacy, really y'all shouldn't have even bothered with it. But I guess that's the 90s doom source port experience for you.

Awesome stuff. Though, i downloaded RZDoom for a spin and apparently changing your resolution (at least in windowed, idk about fullscreen) causes an instant crash if ingame, or a crash when exiting the titlescreen into a map. For some reason this only applies to some resolutions and not others, i couldn't really figure out a pattern there...

I’m getting around to fixing it.

I changed the link to not point to the release. Guess GitHub doesn’t like that for some reason. And yes, I mentioned above that some keyboards won’t work currently. The entire input code needs rewriting and it’ll work on about 70% of older IBM keyboards. The consequence of old stuff I’m working on it.

where can i get the ibm keyboards ? In this case it is those older "IBM-compatible keyboards". I'm not sure about you, but here in Europe, a few of them work well with such old software. I use German 'Cherry' branded keyboards and those absolutely rock! But anyhow, eventually it'll be ported to use SDL2 inputs so it won't be an issues one day

Yeah this started to happen after I did some changes. I’m getting around to fixing it. RZDoom 3.0.2 is released (Windows x64 and x86). This fixes the crashing and has quite a few stability fixes too. Awesome, thanks! Though i have two requests if you ever wanna get around to them... One of them i consider a bug, which is that even though all the menus are in English, ZDoom exit confirmation text are always in the system's language, which i know is a nitpick but it is a little jarring to have two conflicting languages throughout menus... I know GZDoom eventually fixed this, and iirc even Zandronum did, too. The other request is probably a lot trickier to add but one thing i always miss when using ZDoom based ports is the lack of GZDoom's search feature in the options menu. Most people seem to find (G)ZDoom menus to be a bit of a mess and even though i know where most of it is, i tend to agree. Honestly the search feature is what i consider to be the #1 QoL improvement GZDoom has over ZDoom, so i'd love to have it here too if it doesn't go against the philosophy of the port too much

It doesn’t sound too hard. It can go into the next major release which would have dehextra and umapinfo support too.

Awesome stuff! DeathManager was my most used launcher back in the day, aside from batch files. Thanks for showing SeHackEd some love!

Thanks Gibbon. That means a lot.
Also, I thought Strife had a lot of good story. It also reminds me a lot of the final chapter of the animated movie Heavy Metal and it was impressive that all the maps were one giant hub where you could wander back through most of them.

Absolutely, the story was pretty well thought out and everything hinged on it. It just never got a wide release, especially in Europe as I didn’t even know what Strife was until about 2010. It was totally invisible around these parts. Saying that. I’m about to add another port. A fork of Doom64EX with fixes to make it even closer to the N64 original, along with binaries.
