Look who came crawling back... again. Don't worry, I'm just his brother. I've been banned for six days and two hours for "ableistic speech" after the creator of the thread messaged me personally, only to say "fuck you" after I reiterated the points I made in the thread. Of course, they had the upper hand in the battle (after he reported our PM) due to their disability of being "awkward and neurodivergent". It's gotten to the point where there are so many locked threads, dumb threads that should be locked but aren't, users victimizing themselves for attention, snarky remarks by moderators, and snot-nosed assholes that can say things anyone else would be banned for, that I don't really care at this point. The only thing that actually bothers me is that becoming a part of the community somewhat tainted my enjoyment of the game itself. I always separate the art from the artist, I love Woody Allen and Roman Polanski. But it's a little harder to do when the art you're consuming is made by people you know personally. |

Off-topic relating to speculations about nicknames under spoiler: The name looks like a pun on themagicmushroomman? p.s. Anyway, using the words "crawling back" is no way to welcome a user. It's not like deleting your account prohibits you from reregistering, so if it is not ban evasion, this kind of namecalling shouldn't be done. |

Every time he gets banned Doomworld he makes a Doomer Boards account and then deletes it when he gets unbanned because he thinks Doomer Boards is toxic and wants to protect himself from getting rebanned from DW. This vicious cycle happened twice already, if all you do is bitch about DW and then delete your account immediately after getting unbanned, then I'm sorry, but my opinion of you is low.

The second time I deleted my account was when the "DBP vs DW" war was going on, and I apologized for the dumb generalizations that I made, and made a point to apologize to vigilant specifically, because I said some very rude and uncalled for things. I got too caught up in forum drama that didn't concern me, there's not much else I can do other than to apologize. If nothing else it made me realize that it can be easy to fall into a pointless "us vs them" trap, even when it comes to mundane aspects of life. You don't always need to be on somebody's team. |

Yeah, I remember the apology and I trust in people's ability to change generally, and their right to not carry the burden of their mistakes forever. It's why I believe in free speech and the need to fight against censorship, cancel culture, invasion of privacy, etc.
The thread started as hilarios assault on the sick idea of preventing offendable people from being offended, so let's get back to that topic.

The word "map" is ableist because it makes fun of people who can't orient themselves in space. Not to mention it coincides with a very problematic acronym. It has to go.
The word "level" has to go too, due to the obvious fatphobia and fat erasure it perpetuates.
I don't know what word to use instead though. We need to come up with a new term that would honour the struggle of black trans lesbian Doompeople (the word "Doomer" is sexist, a gender neutral term is far more preferable).

You can add "fart" to the list of Doom(world) terms to get rid of in 2022, as my thread about ranking the DOOM beastiary by fartpower was removed. Meanwhile, redundant drivel like "what's your favorite enemy/weapon/map/song" exist without penalty just so users can tell OP to use the search button. "Hell Knight" needs to go, because it conjures images of the knights of old who would rescue damsels in distress, which is sexist and misogynistic, not to mention patriarchal.
The name of Doom II's MAP08, "Tricks and Traps" needs to go, because it not only demeans sex workers but also transexuals.
The name of Doom's E3M4 map "House of Pain" needs to go, because it references a 90's rap group(House of Pain) comprised of white people, which is offensive because they culturally appropriated rap from black people.
