The TITLEPIC and CREDITS are PNG and crashes many ports.

Here's a quick fix that addresses the image issues Joe mentioned, adds a UMAPINFO and credits the music for my map in the txt file. |

v1.3Sorry, I think the last version I uploaded had some node builder issue or something in my map as I was getting weird stuff like zombiemen in the ground and HOMs that shouldn't be there (plus I think I forgot the updated txt file).

v1.4Sorry again. Should be final for real this time. The weird nodebuilder stuff in my map was the result of removing a grass midtex that was floating in the sky. Finally got to delete it without causing any other errors.

yo 40oz not much use including that DECALDEF without the graphics to go along with it lololol. I checked and putting them in won't crash Woof!, PrBoom-plus or Crispy even though they're PNGs. Give Enjay/Nash (for the splashes), and Sergeant Mark IV (assuming you are gonna use his decals) some credz in the txt too, don't wanna look like we're spurning our benefactors or anything. Anyway I haven't had time to play much yet since I just got home but matador's map is looking GOOD. Great work everyone! |

also ya gotta rename STBAR2 and STARMS2 if you want them to show up! I named them that way in case they caused some kind of error with the wad I ul'ed em in.
here's a wad that restores SMIV's decals, enables the custom STBAR, and adds a ZMAPINFO. The ZMAPINFO enforces Doom (Strict) compat level (mostly; a few cvars don't seem to be MAPINFO-able so I left those out) and disables jumping and crouching. If the former is too hard out just delete every line that starts with 'compat_' in the defaultmap block. I also added an OPTIONS lump that will force vanilla compatibility when using Woof! -- this may work for Eternity and Pooch as well but not sure. POSSIBLY also DSDA-Doom.
This is suitable to be loaded after, or can be copy-pasted as-is into, DBP38.wad. guaranteed not to crash Crispy, Woof or PrBoom-Plus.

dmdr thanks. I've uploaded the wad with your included lumps, but I removed the compat lines in zmapinfo. Compatibility modes, nocrouching, and nojumping are recommended but shouldn't be forced imo. At this time I'm going to stop taking hotfix requests. We're on dev mode for the new project; this is the release thread for this one.
