It's a DBP quarantine, so expect bizarre progression, bullshit combat and general nonsense. I had three more maps and was working on one more (it's on map31) but a skill I need to develop is to figure out when enough is enough, seemed like a good chance. All comments / testing / critique / punters appreciated. IWAD: Doom 2, -cl21. Difficulties: yes, sometimes they make a big difference, sometimes they don't. Coop / DM: yes and yes, each map even has its own DM arena. All textures, with the exception of a lift support and a couple of meme textures in secrets, are either IWAD or manipulations of such. Skies are my own, except for one I stole from SIGIL. Includes a small dehacked for what I deem to be QoL improvements (mostly bonuses not counting for items, and no dropped chaingun / shotgun). I've been a having a very weird relationship with Doom mapping lately, so yeah, don't take this too seriously or as a sign of where my mapping is heading, if at all.

Map01 has some impassible linedefs in the hurtfloor pit (the one with the lift to the yellow door) and a missing texture on the lift after the rev fight on the stairs with the rocket launcher, which felt like a generously easy fight at that point. Neither really hurt anything but worth mentioning. Some of it was a bit excessive imo and felt a bit RNG when it came to dealing with all the viles but I still enjoyed making my way through it even if I prefer stuff I actually have some chance of beating without save scumming.

Played through the first 2 maps on hmp (and with the fast parameter on for map 1 because I forgot to turn it off). Great stuff so far. I can always appreciate when somebody can use defaut textures without making it feel like the other10k+ maps with default textures. Atmosphere has been amazing, otherwordly and slightly unnerving, keeps me on my toes. Can't say I'm the biggest fan of the progression so far, but honestly can't say I hate it either. But all the fights so far has been really interesting. It's a bit mean, but in a good way, like a dominatrix punishing you.

Thanks to all who played so far. To be honest I really dig the aesthetics I had going for map31, it just wasn't the right time. I'll probably come back to that texture combination someday.
