Where is DBP58?

Loyal fan,
It compliments me extraordinarily that you ask such an important question. As you know by now, and with few reasonable exceptions (holidays, etc.) Doomer Boards Project has been quite rigid in releasing its signature projects on the start of every new month. Having devoted players that look forward to playing the new doom content created here has been the fuel that has been keeping the project moving for all this time, and we greatly respect that.
Considering tomorrows calendar date, I assure this is no joke.
My main PC has gone through some hardware issues shortly after the start of the month, which has had me devoting weeks to worriedly taking my computer apart and putting it together again in hopes of getting my machine reliably running so I can resume working on the project. Losing entire weeks is pretty crucial and during that time I haven't been able to proactively oversee the project for a significant portion of the development window.
DBP started, humbly, with our very first project; Monuments of Mars which was released five years ago to this day. Doomer Boards Project has released 570 finished, playable maps by 81 unique doom level designers (listed below.) DBP has effectively been a spontaneous pop-up sweatshop for unpaid game design crunch that would be competitive with AAA game design studios' ability to skirt ambiguous labor laws.
After 5 years, my mechanical crisis with my mapmaking machine feels oddly... peaceful. I've reviewed the accomplishments of this forum's mappers. Perhaps it's time to find some way to implement room in this endless mappers' assembly line for bathroom breaks, teeth brushing, and having dinners with their beloved family...? Do doomer boards mappers even remember what sunlight looks like?
For this month's DBP I've opted to extend the mapping deadline an extra month. In fact I'm considering extending development windows for most, if not all DBPs hereafter. I realize this is not entirely fair for players that spend 29 days a month pining for the next DBP release, and sadly, I'm going to have to side with the creators on this one. They could use the fresh air.
Please consider browsing the Doomer Boards Catalog to revisit past projects or seek out ones you may have inadvertently missed through our avalanche of doom maps created over the years.
