Played a bit of map01 with dsda earlier and came across a few issues. Will have to fire up crispy to try and replicate and pin down if they were port specific.

I just got through the first map! Really nice so far, great music and fire effects. The powered phoenix rod was a life-saver in the burning library! Awesome. (I'm using the Crispy Heretic build from the 24th of March. Will that suffice / why is a newer build required?) I'll write more later but have a bug report for now: -Slime (FLTSLUD) doesn't hurt throughout the map. No sector special "7" set? Or is it intended to be harmless?
-In the exit room I think there's a missing texture on the back of the pulpet. HOM or texture bleeding.

Thank you! Yeah that version is good! The slime flat is like that on purpose and I know there's a consistency issue there so I might change it to be damaging then. The exit room HOM is on purpose, I thought it would be like a magic desk that "stretches" to wherever you want to rest upon it.

Thanks, SilverMiner and MegaPancakeStrategist . So, after playing it on and off for a week I was finally able to beat Of Myth Relinquished on thou art a smite-meister. I enjoyed most of the maps (there are some real gems in there), the new graphics, and especially the music. As high-profile WADs for Heretic are few and far between it was a treat to play this! Well done, everyone! A bunch of thoughts: -As FLTSLUD seems to be damaging in all the other maps (as far as I saw) I'd probably make it so in E1M1 as well for consistency. That's just me though - it's hardly a game breaker.
-There were some Gargoyles and Wizards who were stuck on top of one another, here and there in some maps. I'm not sure if the cause is bad placement or the lack of flight "AI" on part of the monsters.
-I liked that it took a while to get the Crossbow, which is otherwise the go-to weapon in Heretic. Getting the Phoenix rod with abundant munitions early on was a lot of fun.
-If you play the maps continously (as I did) there isn't much of an ammo balance after a while. The map styles and respective difficulty ratings aren't very cohesive either. Obviously, this is something that is to be expected since this is a loose community project made within a limited time frame.
-The Powered Dragon Claw worked wonders in The Druids' Citadel! It was fun to be put in situations where you more or less have to use the Tome of Power or die (in comparison with the original Heretic, where it feels more like a bonus and not crucial to one's survival).
-There were lots of cool stuff like openable chests, talking with NPCs, jumping through fires, a curtain opening to reveal a multitude of monsters, shootable windows, and so on. No shortage of creativity here! Awesome.
-It was nice to see that ghosts were used to great effect in some parts. Pods too! Especially pods...
-The volatile down river journey to the distant volcano in Cinderblood was memorable to say the least.
-I liked the Incision of the Voice starting area Lich secret. Spooky!

Thank you very much for playing and the food for thought! The monsters getting stuck seems to be jank vanilla behavior when two flying enemies hook on each other.

Finally made the time to play the first two maps with crispy. Supply chain issues granted me with a slow work week for a change. Didn't come across any issues. Unfortunately crispy doesn't recognize all my mouse keys so I had to play with a control scheme I'm less comfortable with. Regardless I enjoyed it so far. Map 1 did feel a bit unfocused and clunky to me but still had a good time overall. Map 2 felt more focused and I enjoyed it quite a bit more. If I had to offer a criticism it would be the significant use of ghost monsters. It's personal taste but I've never cared for them much, not sure how others may feel. Couple that with not giving the player a crossbow, instead giving them the phoenix rod with a fair amount of ammo is an odd choice imo. Not an unwelcome one but I would prefer either choice alone as both together wasn't conducive the the best gameplay for me. Herding to use splash damage for the ghosts isn't terrible and the generous number of morph ovusms/tomes of power does balance things out a bit so it wasn't a huge impact on my experience but is worth mentioning. I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of the maps eventually.
