anybody remember these old games? I used to play this insane zombie game called divine intervention in the computer lab at school. You were like this priest with a gun and these possessed zombie children would lunge at you from off the screen and you had to pop em right in the head real quick. I miss those days. Do you remember playing those old flash games in the web browser? Do have any favorite flash games?

Before I learned about pirating all I had was a shovelware disk with DOS Mario, Keen 4 and Keen 6 demo, among other games, so I played these three games over and over, my parents got me into some kind of a daycare where I could play Keen 5, so there I played Keen 5 countless times. Eventually my family would get cable internet, and there I'd go to Google and search "Mario games" where it would lead me to Newgrounds and I'd watch flash animations and play flash games of Mario, and stickmen. I don't remember any of the names, but a lot of the games were really tough, and I spent hours just trying to beat one flash game that was probably not even good. From there I found out about other Nintendo games, then Sonic, then I moved onto playing the official games on Emulators, where I'd eventually find Doom 2 GBA.

I liked the penguin tossing game (bloody head version), Crush the Castle (which predated Angry Birds), and of course, of course - Nanaca Crash.

I remember playing tons of point and click games with stickmen, particularly the Smart Stick Adventure trilogy.

I was very addicted to Heli Attack 2 for a while. I loved the random weapon drops

There used to be some real gems out there during the early 00's, but also a lot of "edgy" flash games that resonated with the (male) teens of the time. I have fond memories of exploring Newgrounds during my time on school.
Alien Hominid, which became highly popular and was of high enough quality to become an actual Playstation 2 title:
"Chainsaw Dad" is or was a very simple game that provided a bit of fun:
The edgy "beat up the bad guys games" are a good example of the edgy teen nature of it all:
Sometimes people barely believe that there were and are old high quality, or decent flash games from that era. It aren't even rose tinted glasses, in my honest opinion, as the thousands upon thousands of modern "indie" games on itch.io contain games that are simply of abominable quality or content, in comparison.
