Sometimes when you browse certain wads in a lump editor you'll stumble into some goodies saved as wall textures. It's a nice little treat sometimes but its dissappointing when I see the patch before I find the secret in the map its used in.
What do you think about porn in secrets? Yay or nay?

Letting the player punch a cyberdemon's ass is the best porn you can put in a doom secret.

Tasteless. Porn and Doom shouldn’t mix and shows the unfortunate leanings of the wad author.

For some reason I'm really fascinated by porn wads. There's something so juvenile and ridiculous about them I can't help by love the genre. And they're so 90's. You just don't get wads like that nowadays. Maybe they worked better back then because having any custom textures was a cool novelty, no matter how crappy they were. However, now you can easily have hundreds of new high quality textures in a map, not to mention endless porn available at any moment, so palettized resized pictures of girls aren't as exciting. But I can totally imagine someone with no internet connection getting a bunch of these wads from a friend on a floppy disk and fapping to the pics after dealing with the monsters back in the 90's lol. X.WAD is my favorite. The idea is that the exit is available immediately, but you're encouraged to explore the map and find all the pictures. It is a strangely effective way to make the player try harder.  It helps that the level is really well designed for January 1996 and has a motherfucking Metallica midi. |

I don't really see the point of it. All they're doing is upping the age-rating on their wad (which makes it much harder to put it up for download or host in multiplayer) for no real reason. Porn is everywhere these days, and you can easily stream endless 1080p videos if you know where to look for. Aside from all these negatives it's also pretty crass...I could see it done in a Duke Nukem style WAD and have it work but in a more serious WAD it's just plain ridiculous (and terribly inefficient). Basically, I can only see it work if it contextualizes an already mature-but-childish project.
