In my area, food and retail products are often missing from shelves, and the quality of produce is often old and wilted compared to last year. All while the prices for food and other merchandise is steadily going up.
I'm sure its worse in other places. How is it where you live?

Scarcity -- Not a thing
Prices -- significantly increased during the last year or so. Sunflower oil is like 60% more expensive than early 2021. Milk, bread, fruit have all gone up. Beer is still cheap thank God. I don't buy meat so idk about that.
Quality -- I don't feel a difference.
Talking about the Czech republic here, but according to my parents, it's roughly the same back home in Serbia. Although we had a few stupid hysterias in Serbia recently when people bought all the sugar and flour, but that's not due to scarcity.

About the same as Xeep-Eep. The shelves are well stocked and there's no drop in quality. However, the prices are higher overall and fuel is about 25% more expensive than it was before the 'special operation' begun. It seems apparent that the real target of the sanctions is the western populace rather than our russian friends. |

In the US the choice of goods is far larger than in Europe to begin with. I heard they have dedicated mac and cheese aisles in supermarkets there. Maybe that's where the (very relative) scarcity comes from? It seems apparent that the real target of the sanctions is the western populace rather than our russian friends. im seeing it mostly in produce and refrigerated goods (stuff with generally short shelf lifes) Maybe its distribution problems.
I usually have to go to different grocery stores or make multiple trips per week to fill out my normal grocery list. fruits and veggies are often mushy and wilted on the shelves or within a day of buying them, or they are just out of stock completely. I cant really plan to make any recipes because the ingredients i need are often missing, so ive just been eating really bland and general rice and pasta based meals.

Yeah, I believe food is a bit scarce around here too (i dont get out much so i havent really seen) but the prices sure have gone up, my main diet is Maruchan chicken ramen... egh. the worst kind of ramen.

Also that's spooky; like I've heard of it (and the warnings all year) but it doesn't seem to be happening where I am (all's the same save for higher prices). Store for the winter (and beyond) to cheat at least one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse!!!
