Thought I'd go ahead and start a thread. Had a pizza / beer / movie night and watched a Dario Argento masterpiece; Tenebre. His movies always have a stylish 70's vibe, an eccentric psychedelic rock soundtrack that almost doesn't fit but somehow does, creative camerawork that gets the most out of a scene, and a climax that alone make his movies worth watching. It might be time to go on another Argento movie spree, actually.

Saw this one on Netflix. In it, Bruce Lee faces off against Chuck Norris in the Coliseum.

Watched the recent Red Dawn remake It was nothing special, but it gave me what I sought from it: Warfare, shootouts, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

I saw this one with my dad and my bother a few weeks ago. This movie is pretty demented. I really like Michael Rooker, he was great on the Walking Dead.

A bit of a belated post, but I ended up watching this movie for Halloween, actually a LOT better than I thought it'd be! It's one of those 'don't go thereeee, danger lieees aheaaad' kinda movies with a mysterious, and gloomy atmosphere to it. The possessed lady was especially awesome.

Had pizza, beer, movie night twice in a row, and I ended up having a nightmare about the eye for an eye scene from the first movie.

Actually pretty fucking awesome for a new movie, I was pleasantly surprised, I've been a huge fan Van Damme ever since his cheesy era of mixed martial arts movies.

Saw this one for the first time the other night. It's almost criminal that I hadn't seen it until now.

That scene where they're testing everyone's blood is amazing... you don't get stuff like that anymore.

This may be John Carpenter's finest hour. Also, it's cool to see Wilford Brimley in something other than a diabetes commercial.

Saw a movie Sunday night that I bet none of you have seen. This is pretty spectacular and I'm glad it finally got re-released.

I watched Yes Man the other day for the first time. It was okay, like I enjoyed it enough, but it really, really lacks the humor and presence of old Jim Carrey films.

Finally got around to watching The Machinist. Don't watch the official trailer because it basically ruins the movie. Thankfully I watched the movie without any information and only watched the trailer afterwards. Pretty good movie to be honest. Kind of a poor man version of Fight Club though. The twist is predictable but Christian Bale puts on such an awesome performance it was worth watching just for that alone. He looks like a holocaust survivor here. Great atmosphere. Overall enjoyable, but nothing special. A clip:

Lol deathevokation just noticed your avatar. Guess you've seen this one already eh? Haha! Hehe yeah, it's a total science fiction masterpiece and blew my mind when I watched it! I especially loved the eery scene that took place in my avatar, I won't elaborate because I don't want to give any spoilers.

Thread needs more 1960's films. The actress especially, has a eery and mysterious aura about her...

The Accountant - very satisfying movie about understanding other people. I could easily relate to the main character. And it's very well constructed. Like, with some scenes at first you might not understand why they even exist, but sooner or latter you'll get it and they will all form a neat logical picture. Also I thought it was kind of cool how Ben Affleck and the girl that was investigating him never actually met. A few parts are kinda funny and sometimes it's not clear whether that's intentional or not, but this fits the theme of autism really well if you think about it. Anna Kendrick is pretty.
