Love those TAS videos. It is nice seeing the map bug exploits. I find it interesting that in DOOM, such breaking bugs are present only in a handful of levels, whereas Duke3D is one whole big level bug (see also "Duke Dead Quick"). I guess the Build engine really is more "fragile" in some ways, despite its impressive features.

Why are you posting an outdated TAS? First of all, I couldn't find the 4:54.26 TAS by Maru that follows the RTA rules. Second, the video you posted isn't a TAS at all. It's a world record run done by a player named "Niftski". Third, if you want to see how Niftski and other Mario players managed to "git gud", watch this video:
