hi guys this is my new fanfiction i decided to write it as an sinpisrttation from my old fanfiction and it doesnt hagve sonic and knucklkes this time because people criticised it so i decided i will not include them and im going to make ab etter story this time. okay so enjoy
doomguy is eating piuzza at home and he has a sweet chocolate ice ase a sweret thing afterwatfdes after the pizza and it was nice and he hada good evening and he was listening to good rock music. then in the tv suddenly an ad came where they said: hello this is the advert for my new project its called doom 2 hell on earth , please buy it , and it was john romero in the tv and he was holding the game in his hands and looked at the camera with a stupid looking face that made doomguy angry. and he was thinking , oh my god this f*ggot is makiung fun on my life with a shitty game and his look on his face is extremely stupid , im going to murder this guy.
so he recorded this tv ad for later use and because he will blackmail john romero with it, but doomguy was tired because he drank beer so he went to bed. so he slept and when he woke up he made breakfast and he ate it but he almost forgot it , but he watching tv and john romero made a new tv advert for his game and he says the same stupid tihngs again and heh ad the smae stupid face expression again and doomguy was so extremely angry that he recorded this tv advert too and he watcehd the recording of it , and the face of him made him angry again and he gopt so extremely angry that he smashed his tv because he could not stop any more. and he took the tv recordings from john romero and he took with them him and he goes to id software where john romero was sitting and he was laughing and thought: haha i think everyones going to be so extremely angry because of my ad.
doomguy came in the id software and he grabbed john romero at his neck and he yelled at him and told him that he is an idiot and that he is retarded , and that he hates him and the tv ad provoked him and that he thinks that john romero is the worst level designer ever. and he punched him and beat him up and john romero was almost dead , and they were having a bttle in the id software office. and then suddenly john carmack came in...

Perhaps 40 can create a seperate subforum for Mayhem's fanfiction. IMO, it doesn't belong in Doom Projects, which I think should just be WAD releases and more public project development than what's in Mapping Workshop and the DBP subforum.

ok so what do you think of my new story The lack of capitalization and punctuation makes it an unreadable mess. The same goes for your other forum posts as well. Work on your grammar and spelling if you want someone else to read what you are typing. As it is now it is bad enough to make you look like an idiot. Also, words such as 'extreme' and 'hate' should be reserved for extreme cases only. In most cases words such as these can be omitted entirely and the message would still go through. It's like those who say they're "super happy" when they're just happy. Entirely superfluous use of words. |

While I agree with most of your reply to mayhemic, and even some of the quoted part (about "super happy"), I can't agree with regards to how the word "hate" should be used. Hate is part of normal feelings spectre and like all feelings, arouses naturally, please don't politicise it or push it into the fringe. "Extreme" may be useful or not depending on context, when used correctly, is not superfluous. That being said, the story in the original post is just some fucked up shit. What was its purpose, to piss off people for not liking stories with the sonic character? |

I'd reserve it for things "you'd like to destroy if given a chance" instead of a mere synonym of the word "dislike". So my objection would be related to grammar and not some crazy political agenda. |

Hate is about being wronged by someone - to whatever degree, not about destruction of them. It can indeed be considered a synonym of "dislike" in most circumstances, unless the wrongdoing that made one feel hate was severe.
Cheating on one's partner may make that partner feel hatred towards the cheater, but whether the partner wants to destroy the cheater in retaliation (hopefully not) or they decide they can't continue relationship, is up to the specific person.

Earliest instance of hate in proto-english I can think of is in Beowulf: I seem to recall that it was often incorporated, portmanteau / Germanic style, with another word (fighting, for example, would be rendered as swordhate or warhate - there are probably other examples.) In actual english poetry, earliest example I can think of is Pillar Perish'd by Wyatt, willing his own self-destruction:
And I myself, myself always to hate,
Til dreadful death doth ease mine doleful state.
Conclusion: hate has always been rendered as extreme, and actually yes, it is traditionally associated with the want for destruction and erasure. Claiming it as a synonym of "dislike" does the word and emotion a disservice - pushed, I would probably rather define it as a direct antonym of Love.
edit: I'm not going to get started on the Bible. But if God is mentioned as hating something then you can rest assured that a passage referencing destruction and smiting is but a sentence away.

I do agree that Hate gets thrown around a lot (i know this because I do it).
Hate is a strong word, but it is a Synonym of dislike, albeit a more extreme version of dislike.
now Loathe on the other hand is a word that i dont see too much, and that is EVEN MORE extreme than hate.

I am aware it was taken from that passage, and I consider it to be exactly dumb. "Perfect hatred" does NOT make sense. I am feeling perfectly angry or perfectly sad. Does not work? Well, hatred is just another emotion, just like sadness or anger, so it doesn't work with it either.

please. please calm down and dont ffeel scared. i was intending to create a satanic work. i am very sorry but you dont need to feel scared because my intention was not to please satan with the story and you dont have to be scared of it , it is not a satanic work and i am sorry that i scared you with it. but it was not my intention so this work is not satanic and you really do not need to feel scared , really i am serious. and i did not want to cause hate with the story , i wanted every one to be able to enjoy this art and to have their opinion on if my new story is better and if i used the criticism very well and stuff. please stop feeling so hateful towards each other and about the story.
