There has been a trend of creating new forums as of recent, whether just for the fun of it or as an insurance to remain in touch with other members no matter what as we are experiencing quite a ruckus here. So, if you are interested, I've created mine as well: thegreatresist.freeforums.net/The concept is WIP but some hints on what it is to be are already visible. Yes, this is not a forum about (or even primarly) just Doom. This is more like a cultural crusade against the modern world degeneracy and the uber-rich elite that is the cause of it all. My intention is not to only take back gaming world but also turn it into weapon to push back against the woke, cancel culture, the totalitarism masquerading as "democracy", the encroachment on privacy and freedom of speech. Taking the recent happenings into account, I had to rush in and define some rules. Yes, a lot is going to be polished going forward. I would absolutely prefer to present the forum only once concept is finalized, but I just can't escape a sense of emergency and think the early feedback might be valuable anyway. I am not intending to quit doomer boards btw, and will post doom-related stuff here as well and not just there. Including, but not limited to, updates to VigilantBSP. P.S. In case you got confused, Seductress is account I use for administrative tasks. Don't read too much into the fact it has gender set to female  . The usual vigilantdoomer (display name: Vigilante) is just a regular account like you would be. |

Btw, for those who haven't been registering much, registering on proboards forum when you are already logged into another proboards forum is easy. You click on "Login" and it takes you to the secure login page and tells you to either type your nickname and password (if you already have one, but you don't), or (this is what you need) create a new account and link it to your global proboards one you should be already logged in.

can i also make an account You can, but it probably won't be long before you'll be banned. I have already proscribed spamming of the forums in the manner you did in the preceeding few days on doomer boards. Ditto with not respecting expression of gender identity. |

I joined, I think you did a good job with it. It feels welcoming and I like the color scheme. Am I allowed to ask about the Dark Gate? I think being able to teach users new spells would be pretty cool. You could set it up so that the more (useful) posts a user makes, the more spells they can learn!

The layout and changes scheduled for a forum are going to be explained, but I need to have some time. Currently I rushed to share my forum (which I created around the time I was banned for three days here, or maybe prior? I don't remember but the forum creation date is March, 21). The decision to rush was taken because of temporary losering of forum members and other mess. I also mistook forum experiments that seem to be connected with decision to have janitors for possible hacking attempt against doomer boards. Note: I didn't ask 40oz or dn about it, because it was not clear if this was instead authorised action that served some purpose, and they clearly might have been busy. I am talking about that Doom General subforum was visibly having Moderator group and a user associated with it that has a recent enough registration (past year). I was confused about what was going on, etc.
The hacking attempt can be clearly ruled out right now.
I'm going to answer your question about Dark Gate later - I'm actually posting parallel to working (remotely) right now. Am going to consider your suggestions as well.

It's not going to host literal witchcraft, but it will host discussions that won't fit Christian paradigm sure, even if the reasons for this are trivial or petty. That's why it is closed - I want Christians to join the forum if the subforum's existence doesn't bother them, remain unbothered by content which they're not going to see (as it will only be made available who explicitly requested it and are open-minded about some junk can be there, as long as it is not illegal or against boards TOS), etc.
I have not yet decided on exactly what kind of material I will host there. So, I created it upfront so that those who are concerned and don't want to be on such forum that even allows such discussions, can leave. Of course you can leave at any time, not necessary now, but if you are afraid that being on this forum can be somehow sinful, I'd understand.
In other words, creating it in advance was about being honest to those considering to join. I don't want anyone to feel betrayed by the way I'm going to evolve the forum.
