I don't know if I have or had the coof but I've been feeling sick a lot lately which is quite strange! Taken arthritis/fever medicine (to remedy an existence that aches), allergy medicine (I have allergies sadface), cold therapy chews (I doubt this is doing anything at all), spoonfuls of honey, gargling salt water, cough drops (again I don't know if this is working at all), and 1000mg vitamin c powder in my water.

Thank god for omicron. According to what we know, it's way less severe than old covid strains which means that soon enough we should be able to Get On With Our Lives. I don't want to get the 3rd dose because I don't have insurance, so I hope it happens asap. MegaPancakeStrategist why do you have to overcomplicate things like that? Just stuff yourself with Paracetamol like a xanax addict and you should be fine.

I call it the Wuhan Lab Flu, since it was proven to be modified there. Whether it was released on purpose or by accident remains to be absolutely determined. But early on I did see something about a block of dry ice loaded with it being placed by ventilation in the nearby wet market that was initially blamed for it. Communist Flu also works since it was developed under such a regime and just happened to break out when they were having trouble with Hong Kong. Also early on before it really broke big, China blocked travel inward while allowing travel outward. Of course Fauci had been directing funding to the lab for years and has been caught lying repeatedly about it under oath (but oddly yet to be indicted). Big surprise he also funded cruel torture of animals both abroad and domestically. Serial killers have been known to torture animals. The fraudulent Lancet report purposely omitted the covid from the bat cave or mine that was the closest wild relative used as a base for the widespread modified covid.

Can't understand how I never got it. Of course now I am vaccinated, but before that I was kinda reluctant and annoyed to wear a mask, unless required. I know other people who are more careful, even obsessed and some still got it, even if they isolated. Now, I am not a social person, but I would go to the supermarket or the local cafeteria to read a book alone, and I would not wear a mask unless the store required. I would be like "fuck it". And yet I don't know how it is. Sometimes I think it's like this is an initiation I have to go through. I have to accidentally contract it and I guess now I am vaxxed it won't be as bad.
I am mixed. I don't like the hysteria around it. I did the vax though because what do I know? At least you do these once (or few more times LOL). They are not as annoying as masks. I travelled to Greece, I paid for tests, regardless if I was a good boy and did my vaxxes. They were requiring (or suggesting) double masks. Wtf? Some of these stuff sound like cargo-cult. If 1 mask is good, then N masks are N times better for you. That's fucking cargo cult at this point!

In that case I'll just stop giving a fuck, and most people probably will too. 2 years is enough. optimus I don't think you know what cargo cult actually is, you can just say cult.

Hey guys. I have had some pretty bad aches for a couple of days but i feel a whole lot better today. i still have a constant sore throat and occaisonal aches (my arm is hurting while i type this) but seriously.. this isnt even as bad as the common cold (Omicron at least) mainly because it lacks the nasal congestion.

Least schizo poster on döner boards. I'm a Cyberdemon, RAWR!!
While in some ways it may seem more like a flu, I think covid is more closely related to the common cold. I don't know if it still says so on the official CDC website but it did say that regarding the testing for past infection, it can come back positive if you simply had the common cold and it can come back negative if you're currently infected with covid. Of course that was probably never mentioned in the media, and the CDC changed their own definition of vaccine to offering protection rather than immunity.
Funny they're pushing these rapid tests so much all the sudden. Last I remember they have a 35% false positive rate. So obviously that's to drive up numbers and cause fear and panic. The inventor of the PCR test is even criticizing that test, though its patent is actually owned by a real dick of a scumbag. The inventor of the mRNA method used by the vaccines was criticizing the vaccines so big tech silenced him and suspended his twitter.

IIRC common cold is caused by coronaviruses exactly. Just not the COVID-19, the other coronaviruses. And by the way, that means that research targeting "gain of function" on a coronavirus family IS beyond fucked. I think Fauci needs to be imprisoned for life, but, at the very least, he should be removed from power for simply having a connection to all this shit. No matter whether he knew about "gain of function" research in lab or not. You simply can't trust a man to have an authority over handling the situation he might have had a hand of creating (and I think he did).
Watch out for people saying "we should prepare for next pandemic", especially if they fund any virus-related research. Cause these are the bandits of old tale who run a windows-repairing business so they smash your windows and then charge you for doing the repairs. The bandits of the modern world create a virus so they can charge the government (your taxpayer money) for the cure. Oh, and what a good way to destroy small businesses too, with lockdowns and shit. And remote work has the caveat that companies not used to it might be having huge security issues once the offices become avaiable through the network.

Funny they're pushing these rapid tests so much all the sudden. Last I remember they have a 35% false positive rate. So obviously that's to drive up numbers and cause fear and panic. They also have a similarly high (or even higher) false negative rate, so I don't think they drive up the numbers overall. They are simply not as accurate, and the reason they are being pushed is simply resource balancing, as the PCR tests are more expensive, in shorter supply, and overwhelm the labs that process them. This all was caused by the sheer rate at which the Omicron spreads. IIRC common cold is caused by coronaviruses exactly. Just not the COVID-19, the other coronaviruses. Yes, some variants of the common cold is caused by coronaviruses. There are also others, like rhinoviruses and the like. These are all large families, where viruses of the same family share certain common traits. There is some research that there is some cross-immunity between common cold coronaviruses and SARS-CoV-2. It has been speculated early on that one of the reasons children seemed less susceptible to SARS-CoV2 infections, is that they had achieved some level of immunity by being more frequently exposed to common cold coronaviruses. Right now my outlook is quite optimistic that the Omicron variant may end the pandemic by driving Delta out, infecting a large percentage of the population and leaving it with some additional immunity. Most data suggests that it might be the case. Unless the picture changes, pretty soon we might be hitting that "moment of truth" where the authorities and the "health professionals" managing the situation will either have to say "We did it! Back to normal, everyone, no more vaccine mandates, QR-codes, green passes, mandatory tests before traveling, etc etc" or attempt to perpetuate the current situation. This will be the moment where we will know whether those who said the governments do this only to increase control over the citizens were right. I still hope that common sense will prevail.

My opinion exactly. Sadly many people have profited a LOT from this pandemic and they don't want it to end, and these people probably can do a lot to prevent that from happening. There's imo also the fact that the number of infections is still considered the most relevant figure when it's not. the most important figure at this point is the number of hospitalisations (since most of the developed world is vaccinated and will have only a very mild form of the disease), yet I don't see a lot of attention given to it. Idk if that's ignorance or some sort of fear mongering. As you say, time will show.

Probably both ignorance and fear-mongering play a role. I can understand the "better safe than sorry" approach. We've lived with this crap for 2 years. 1-2 more months to be absolulely sure we are not missing some data, or that the health system will not be overrun, are something we can accept. However, in 1-2 months, there should be no more Delta in the wild, in most countries. And at that point we will be pretty certain if Omicron is something to be concerned about, at all. If at that point the tune does not change, I will become annoyed and concerned.
