Hello, just joined after hearing about DB via the excellent Auger:Zenith and coming across World Extermination Radio on YouTube.
Played Doom as a teen in the 90s and redicovered it during pandemic lockdown (I suspect it was, predictably, due to Decino, but I can't remember).
Welcome email suggested sharing music taste, so here goes:
These days I mainly listen to BBC Radio 6 Music, which basically caters for people who had alternative music taste and then got middle aged.
Recent favourites and discoveries, mostly through 6 Music, include:
Pozi 'Typing'
Mdouc Moctar generally
Bob Vylan 'pretty song'
Zanias 'untethered'
My favourite Doom soundtrack so far is Sunder, enjoy this kind of moody, atmospheric music for doom much more than melodic tunes
Thanks!
Stephen

Welcome to Doomer Boards, pal! Hope you enjoy your stay Some of us around here have a very snarky humor, so don't feel bad. We usually are snarky because its hard to express our true feelings in a way that doesn't made us feel vulnerable. Thats why we create ongoing jokes as we are pretty much like a group of people sitting around a table, enjoying a drink and being asses just because we feel confortable enough with the company Now, you are sharing some really interesting music. I am also enjoying the alternative music scene of middle asia. do you know this band? I first hear it when it come out around 2010, and then i always wanted to hear the complete album. I found it recently, and finally enjoyed this amazing band as it really deserves.

Thank you for the welcome and the song recommendation! I have never heard of them but I gave it a listen and enjoyed it. Which language is that, a Dravidian language? I find Radio 6 is a good way to hear world music mixed with western music, this is a particularly good show www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00slvl3 No worries about the humour! I'm just enjoying Doom again (played through Alien Vendetta, Struggle, Running Late 2, Auger:Zenith, Miasma, Sunlust, Eviternity and Epic 2 so far) and would like to make small modest contribution back, maybe just play testing. If you enjoyed those, few more I've enjoyed recently. Richard Dawson - Jogging Tassos Chalkias : Ta Goumara Ki Apidia PONGO - Tambulaya La Nina - STORIA DI AFRODITE

Which language is that, a Dravidian language? Yes, its malayalam, a language spoken in Kerala, India, to the east of the Persian Gulf. thanks for the recommendation No worries about the humour! I'm just enjoying Doom again (played through Alien Vendetta, Struggle, Running Late 2, Auger:Zenith, Miasma, Sunlust, Eviternity and Epic 2 so far) and would like to make small modest contribution back, maybe just play testing. Great mapsets to play EPIC 2 and Alien Vendetta are some of my favs, too. Yeah, a playtester that plays on different source-ports is always needed. Check the Doom Projects subforum, there are quite a few of ongoing projects that surelly will appreciate some playtesting
