Finished playing this today and while I had some fun, this DBP wasn't half as good as Dreamcatcher Apparatus for me. Here's what I have to say about each map: MAP01 - pretty cool map, didn't think much of it when I first played it but after awhile I decided to play through the whole thing and this map turned out to be pretty fun. MAP02 - this is hands down the worst map in this DBP. Layout looks like something a newbie would draw and the map itself was pretty meh. I was going to say this map was 'fine' before I got to the end. The first fight here is actually pretty cool, but then I had to perform a PlAtfOrMiNG PuZzLe and that's when I lost my shit. This 'puzzle' is fucking stupid and it took me a few minutes to realize I'm supposed to shoot a switch behind the arch-viles. This switch uses the same switch texture from the previous map so I was thinking I should somehow jump over to that switch and press it. Maybe I should've guessed that, but whatever. Fuck this map. Also using just one lighiting sector is cringe and it looks like shit. MAP03 - this was an ok map. I didn't have much fun playing it, but I wasn't bored either and I forgot if I had any notes about it. MAP04 - hands down the best map in the set. Really good visuals and detailing, the combat is really good as well. It's really cool to see that Lunchlunch's mapping style hasn't changed much since this DBP came out, this is some really solid stuff. I'm thinking about revisiting this map sometime later because I didn't find all the secrets. MAP05 - I don't remember much about this map tbh. It was ok. MAP06 - this map could use some more secrets! Jokes aside, I didn't like this map. I was expecting a really tough fight at the end, given the amount of secrets but when the first tuff fight starts, you put an invuln right in front of the player which completely neuters the challenge. All in all this map is extremely underpopulated and the absurd amount of secrets made me not want to revisit this map (also I didn't manage to find all of them, I got like 7 out of 9 secrets). I felt like this could be one of the first maps matador ever made because his maps from DBP54 are very different in style. MAP07 - I genuinely thought this was a Joe-Ilya map (puke) It's not that bad though and the combat was fun, but this map legit feels like a newbie map. It's too symmetrical, too small and the final fight was a bit annoying. Also the reason why I thought this was a Joe-Ilya map (puke) is because Cuppy used one lighting sector at the start. Blorgh. MAP08 - this map was pretty cool. Wtf, a good Joe-Ilya map?! Nonsense!!! For real though, I had fun playing this one. The only thing I didn't like is how abruptly the map ends. And the visuals were pretty meh. MAP09 - really good map with a dark and grim atmosphere. HR2 midi fits like a glove here. Good fights, atmosphere and visuals. I spotted some misaligned textures here and there, but nothing crucial. MAP10 - this map was a bit disappointing... I expected something more than a bunch of wimpy imps and three random arachnotrons at the end of the map... Oh well. Overall it's not a bad wad and you did a good job guys, but I can't say I really enjoyed it. I also noticed a few visual bugs like misaligned and missing textures but forgot to mention them so whatever. :/
