Saw this upcoming first person shooter, but haven't seen much discussion about it.
Incredibly impressive looking sci-fi shooter using the darkplaces engine, it looks like.
looks like it'll be a number of years before it's released, if it ever is. their page on steam says "beta in 2020", which i think is a reach.
anyway gonna play the hell out of this one when it IS released, keep your eyes open.

Looks great from the pictures! The art kinda reminds me of the game Strafe, which turned out to be fairly good as well, although I found the rogue-like gameplay and procedural level design to be something that didnt translate over as well to the FPS genre. But perhaps it just wasn't done the right way.

the level designer's website: sergejaeken.com/anyone played any of the maps listed? Worth a shit? I think I've heard of Zer0 Signal (for Quake II), or at least it sounds familiar, but I've never played it. |

the pseudo-retro style of the textures doesn`t mix well with all the HDR and bloom effects

yeah they're going effect crazy, more and more with every released screenshot. i don't know how it's all going to play out and come together in the end. either way, am glad these clone shooters are being made. truly does reminds me of the old days.

thundercunt I think it can work if those effects become as pixelated as the textures. So that it won't be an ugly combination of low and high pixelation.
