Been so long gone from Doom stuff that I used to map with wadauthor and have been checking out what people are using these days. Finally got around to trying out Eureka today and discovered it has 3D floors and slopes in 3D view mode...For EDGE! Think I've found a winner.
Now I just have to learn to map again in a shiny new editor...not that I was ever especially good so it won't be long to get back to where I was.😂

Eureka is dope, I've used it to make all my maps from DBP17 onwards. UNFORTUNATELY the internal nodebuilder is a bit shite and the new dev (printz) doesn't seem all that interested in fixing it so keep a copy of BSP (or Zokum or ZDBSP or whatever you're into) on hand.

i played around with it for a few minutes. It does indeed seem cool but I'm just so adjusted to the doombuilder style interface that I haven't looked forward to the amount of time it would take to make a decent map while learning a new UI.

I hear you, that's why I've been shopping around: Since I'm not used any of the current crop it's a good time to start afresh.

Various Doom Builder forks also have visible slopes and 3D floors.

Not for EDGE though. Call me stubborn but I've too much history with it to quit now😉
