List of maps to improve certain Doom skills

There is a thread on DW by xvertigox (link www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/107015-wad-progression-for-skill-improvement/) with aims to give an ordered list of mapsets suitable for gradually 'gitting gud' at Doom. These are great general suggestions, but I think it would also be good to have a source of information on more specific topics with references to maps on which the particular abilities could be practiced. By the way, I wonder if this has already been done somewhere else; please give me a link if it has.
For instance, if a player is really bad at fighting archviles and wants to learn how to deal with them effectively, they should be pointed to maps where the archviles are the primary base of the gameplay or are just used in a such manner that it requires skill to beat them. The list does not have to be large and extensive (though variety would definitely be appreciated here), just a few maps depending on the topic could be nice. As of the previous example, Plutonia's Hunted would definitely make into this list, as could some short 'regular' maps with archviles thrown into the battles. On the other hand, there are many slaughter WADs which use archviles a lot, but I'm not sure how it will help the average player to advance, as they will die from other causes most of the time anyway. It would still be useful to include such maps in the list as 'master-level' entries.
This post should probably be made a collection of said lists, sorted by theme, so you won't have to search through multiple pages to find the one you need. I would like to start and present some themes I am interested in myself.

I'm really bad with this one myself, I always tend to bump into a rocket when blazing through a corridor or a moderately small (for a cyberdemon) room.
Weapons
- Berserk-fighting high-tier demons and hordes of weaker ones
I am really able to kill baron with a Berserk, but tend to get hit one or two times. It is also easy to kill, say, imps who are coming to you just staying around the corner, but it gets harder when you are surrounded. - Safe and effective usage of rocket launcher in confined areas
There should be a way to enable the high rocket launcher DPS without being overly careful about every rocket you fire. - Better BFG usage
I 'know how the BFG works', but most of the time I just do not use it for some reason. Do you remember some challenging BFG fights that are not over the top?
