I've been getting into Friday The 13th game, and I've noticed that some people are obviously cheating with hacks. I did a google search, and found sites that offer downloads for players to have unfair advantages. My question is, what is the point of playing the game like this? Perhaps it is the joy of trolling legitimate players. It seems kind of stupid to me, because it ruins, and otherwise fun game, that should only be purchased on discount rates.

The other day I swept a match, and killed all of the councilors. One of the players accused me of cheating, lol.

People cheat because it's the only control they can exercise in a very controlled system. The same reason people do anything stupid.

i once cheated (it was OGC for counter-strike) just to learn what to expect to look for in actual cheaters and to not misidentify them.
it was a mistake that ended up having all trust lost in me by my clan members and was eventually booted.
so don't cheat.

There's a lot of reasons for why someone would consider cheating in a multiplayer game, the most common reasons are:
- Because they've gotten bored of the game.
- Because they're so bad at the game that they think anyone decent enough at it is cheating so they try to payback.
- Because they're so miserable that the only way they get joy out of a game is to cheat (attention-whoring)
All of these just end up annoying normal players who just play for fun, votekick them if whatever game you play has that option, selfish people that only think of themselves and can't have the decency to play like the rest of people, I'm all for having fun but when it's only you who's having fun at the expense of other people then you shouldn't be surprised if you get kicked out of the server. It's not too bad for the first few times but it starts getting irritating when it keeps happening.
