I love how Americans ignorantly use the term "white people", as if white people from all around the world are all identical and are also guilty of what white americans did in the past and are ignorant of the fact that white people have extremely diverse opinions and reactions to other cultures, especially in Europe. Poland and Germany have very different values for example. White people in Romania have very different problems to white people in USA. Countries in Europe are not like American States. You should stop using "white people", use "white americans" instead. We have our own baggage around here and we don't want yours, especially not your white guilt. Yes I agree. We’re talking about white Americans (people of various European backgrounds). Yes, they have European ancestry but none of them are really German, Polish, Hungarian or whatever anymore. Trump has German ancestry but there's nothing German about him.

Can someone explain to me how looting and burning small stores constitutes protesting? Maybe I'm too much of a brainlet to understand. The cop should get charged with first degree murder and get the death penalty, he needs to be made an example of. This is unbelievable. Cops are not so aggressive in my country, not by a long shot. @grug It gets even weirder. This guy is a first rate degenerate. www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/may/28/amy-klobuchar-passed-prosecuting-derek-chauvin-min/

You should stop using "white people", use "white americans" instead. You are correct, I'm talking about white americans here. I forget who is reading this conversations sometimes. You keep throwing in COVID-19 protestors in this thread. Why do you keep arguing this? What is your point here? dont play dumb. even bob page saw it. overwhelming majority of shutdown protestors were white americans, had weapons, happened in the same general location, during the same timeline, and the police let them have their day. So white people never have to worry about losing their jobs or being doxxed over expressing freedom of speech due to political correctness culture in the media? Although that isn't injustice in a court of law or via police, it's a social injustice. Also, interesting how you never addressed my comment regarding how the majority of police killings are against whites. I'm saying it's independent of skin color. Nonwhite people are not immune to these things. The majority of police killings are not against whites. There were over 40 unarmed black people killed this year. Sometimes it's not by the police, but includes white americans murdering black people and getting a very light sentence. This happened to someone close to me. Hmmm did that Harvard study factor in FBI crimes statistics how 13% of the US population attributes to over half the violent crimes in the US? Hmm perhaps that has something to do with how black men between the age of 15-34 are killed by police? The FBI is aligned with the police. FBI statistics are not reliable. See James Comey. It's bipartisanly known that the FBI lies about everything. You can't trust the government to accurately report it's own failings. BURNING DOWN ENTIRE CITIES AND PEOPLE'S PRIVATE PROPERTY BECAUSE OF POLICE BRUTALITY IS UNACCEPTABLE. You got a beef, you take it up with the people directly responsible. Leave private property and business owners ALONE. They're not doing it for self-righteous reasons. It's a tactic to assist the protests. The police are obligated to respond to calls. If you destroy property, this will prompt calls to the police (police always respond immediately to property damage) This is done to spread the forces thin instead of frontloading them on the protestors. Business owner's properties are insured. They will be fine. The friends and families of those killed are not. I value life over property. I'm uncompromising on that issue. Lol I knew this post was coming. Regardless, it's unlawful and stupid. But these white dumbasses are not protesting over political shit. What we are seeing now is political violence which is a concerning matter. Not some sports related bullshit. Context matters. And before I get hit with a strawman by anyone, no I do not condone or excuse the actions of either of these rioters. The context matters here too. Racially targeted violence is violence. It's not political. It's not a belief. It's happening and its being filmed.

Did any black people participate in the sports riots? Yes? Okay then. They weren't started or perpetrated by 'white people' They were started by sports fans of any race.

American police show too little restraint, they more often than not enforce the law first and protect/serve as an afterthought, events have and will continue to show that US police need to be more disciplined in the line of duty. Once you have a criminal subdued you do not choke them to death, he was quite clearly pacified at the point leading up to his death and was even making clear the officer was indeed putting this man's life in danger, the officer didn't even take heed when onlookers warned him, this is abandonment of his duty (to protect and serve the public) and should be considered a crime, not to mention that police aren't actually supposed to use chokeholds and other neck related restraints and they are ACTIVELY DISCOURAGED due to the threat an incorrect manoeuvre poses. www.policemag.com/506561/unlocking-the-confusion-around-chokeholds The offender followed none of these rules, not only that but he used a method of choking not actually in the police policy www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/police/policy/mpdpolicy_5-300_5-300 (Had to use a fucking VPN for that) It's shameful, disgusting even, the officer should be tried for misconduct and manslaughter.

What a first rate degenerate. Hey doomro I'm using a demeaning tone with you right now, perhaps you should tell Communities United Against Police Brutality on me? Loving the lies by omission in that article too, here's a contemporaneous article about the 2011 shooting: Oh, and according to this New York Post article it was Nutter who actually shot the guy, Chauvin didn't even fire his gun. 'Involved in an even more high-profile shooting of a Native American' indeed. Anyway, daily reminder that the cops laying off = more crime and death, not less. (you'll note that most of the contrary studies in the relevant section refer to NATIONWIDE trends, not local ones, which is what the FE refers to, which you can work out by noticing that the name of the FE references a specific locality. Anyway that St. Louis guy is a liar, check the jump in murder rates here; only property crime decreased significantly, stats for which are unreliable since plenty of that goes unreported).

No, and I do think the level of force applied was unnecessary, but I'm also pretty sure it was an accident (and ignoring what 'bystanders' tell them to do isn't really a bad thing for cops, or anyone else, to do either). I mean this idiot's back at work in the UK so clearly killing people by accident is A-OK in the modern west. What a great civilisation, and getting better every day.

This is utterly ridiculous. Who gives a single fuck about his history? He could have spent his whole life saving kittens from trees or dealing smack - it has absolutely no bearing on the legitimacy of murdering someone in public for no good reason. It's just another black deprived of his basic constitutional rights though, who honestly gives a fuck, right? It's as American as apple pie. Hmm, does this cherry picked statistic perhaps have something to do with how black people are substantially more likely to be born into poverty, are prevented from getting certain jobs because the name on their resume sounds " too black", frequently have their votes discounted, and are, as you mentioned, disproportionately targeted by police, not to mention locked up far more on average than whites? I know these statistics are inconvenient if someone is trying to justify their hatred or fear of black people, but they're fucking human beings like the rest of us. "Mass judgement" of any group of people for any superficial trait they have no control over is fucking moronic. People should be judged on a case-by-case basis, not in blanket terms. Especially when people do it inconsistently - men are way more murderous and rapey than women and statistics prove this beyond a doubt, regardless of race.. yet I'm not shaking in my boots like a pussy when I come in contact with males as opposed to females, because I'm not loopy. The entire concept of mass prejudice is intellectually lazy, it's a way to just say "ahhh, fucking ( insert group here), they're all the same, worthless assholes.. Fuck 'em.." I mean, that's how I feel towards most of humanity, but at least I'm not a prejudiced asshole about it.

I love America, and that's why I hate that so many dumb fucks have been brainwashed into thinking it's perfect. It is not. I want it to be a better country because I love it. But I get mad when I see fucktards who want to dig their heels in the mud and keep us in the fucking societal stone-age. I can't help it.

dmdr, youre a smart guy, but you're being silly. American Police are a gang. They look out for their own. #bluelivesmatter. You cant trust them to accurately report or release information about their servicepeople. The police dont make it easy to heed complaints, and I'm certain people didnt call in only because they were butthurt about his tone. I'm pretty sure every police officer ive dealt with has given me a demeaning tone.
When a citizen gives them a hard time, they'll stack as many charges on you as possible. If police ever come in contact with you, they can always get you for something. But when it comes to looking out for their brothers in blue, "I didnt see anything out of the ordinary" they say. They always pull through.
A common factor I see in all police brutality videos that also happened here is that when there is more than one officer, the others do not intervene when theyre using excessive force or going against protocol. They either contribute or just kinda stand around aimlessly waiting for the suspect to somehow retaliate in equal measure.
I have friends who have parents or siblings or are friends with cops and each one ive met universally has a dubious opinion of what "justice" means.

The journalist who wrote the linked article, and the authors of all the similar articles bringing up Chauvin's history, as you know perfectly well. Okay, but whether or not these people care objectively does not make it any more relevant. In such an obvious case of murder, the killer's history is hardly relevant other than looking into motive. As I said, his behavior in completely unrelated situations should have no bearing on this case, which just to remind you, is someone being very obviously strangled to death in public by the police, completely deprived of their right to a trial and their right not to be murdered.
The fact that you think being talked to like trash by the police is okay or just some little line to joke about just means you're a sub when it comes to authoritarianism. It doesn't actually make police bullying/brutality any more okay or have any bearing on the outside world at all really, other than telling us all you think cops wiping their asses with codified law is no biggie.
Also, basically everything 40oz said. For a complaint to have actually been put on his record for being a fucking prick is actually pretty surprising. Again, I know that's just something to joke about, it's just people's rights and lives. Who gives a fuck.

I love America, the English language, Americanism and the products that come out of it but Americans need to remember that the world of white people is actually is very diverse even if there is a lot of overlap and that people are not ready to accept all that is coming from it. I guess the America I love is post-war America, minus the racism. That America has been slowly eroded by malicious actors in the country.

This seems to prove that, in at least some circumstances, it's undercover cops doing most of the actual damage in an effort to make the protestors look worse. We have video and photographic evidence that this officer was smashing out all the windows of the autozone as multiple protestors tried to stop him. Note how he isn't riled up or anxious at all, he's strolling along doing it very concisely - and I'm going to say that's because it's a job and he is not a protestor. All the evidence so far points toward that conclusion.

What looks worse, smashing some windows or burning down an entire housing complex? How many cops were taking 4k TV's out of Target? Are they using them to watch CNN for any signs of George Floyd's justice? I bet they are!

www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/gta5qg/dc_police_sending_officers_dressed_like_antifa_to/Here's another example of a cop pretending to be a protestor. Note how he's dressed in an Antifa like getup. Just showing that it isn't an isolated incident. Are cops trying to make the protestors look worse or aren't they? I mean, here in reality, they provably are. If you don't think that reeks of obvious fucking corruption then you have no nose. It's an attempt to artificially rig the scales. None of this undoes the fact that there was a public execution by a cop just days ago, and none of it undoes the other statistics I linked to earlier in the thread.

I'm more concerned over the very existence of a cop going undercover to make protesters look bad than the fact that he fails to do it.
I don't care IF the rioters are bad or not, I care about the fact an authority has been caught trying to deceive the public, the very fact it happened is a unique to itself problem here.

That looked like an accident, but keep going for the gold, this really helps. I assume you have proof these cops are acting under auspices of the police force? I mean since you're making the accusation and all. Isn't that how this works?

I see a man in black being accused of being a cop. I see no badge, and no offical markings. I see a black car, with two men in it, also being accused of being cops. They deny this. The accuser then simply decides they are cops. Sorry, maybe this "proof" holds up in kangaroo court but you'll have to try a little harder.
Specifically, I was talking about the man breaking the auto-zone windwows, but whatever.

if the people who are oppressing you are also leading your protests... you might be in a pickle.
This was a big issue during occupy wallstreet. although there were permits to protest down particular streets, the star of baal cult members kept leading the crouds into 'illegal' routes and caused hundreds of people to get arrested.
