That is one boss of a gaming rig, my dude! Not gonna lie, watching that installation made me really excited for you and now I wanna play Eternal Doom too.
As nice as it is to have doom run instantaneously and all wads be downloadable in seconds, there is a certain magic thats lost when you dont have to wait for it. The whole process of getting it to work really is an integral part of the experience.

Yeah, it's my pumped up 386DX beast. With fastest ISA tseng labs card, 8MB ram (necessary to run Eternal Doom), tested well on benchmarks. Normally, I have other DOS machines from 486 to a big Pentium 3 desktop for all DOS related fun, but I decided to make the video exclusivley on 386 because of the retro struggle feeling to even run this smoothly and also the only machine currently attached to the old CRT. Expecting a Pentium 1 desktop soon, might try to run Doom or some of the early Doom DOS ports (maybe Boom) to actually play it there instead.

Wow when you press enter and it takes like 20 seconds to load the map. Dooming sure was different back in the day...
