Doom 64

Who's re-releasing it?

I think it's at least a nice alternative for those of us who own a Nintendo Switch and would like to be able to play it on the go. I mean, it wouldn't surprise me if there were already methods for being able to play it anywhere (portable N64s, emulators and whatnot) I do after all have both PlayStation Doom and Final Doom on my PSP.

It's also nice for people who can't be bothered to look into the Doom community and find the plethora of free content available to play at any time to get some exposure on one of Doom's lesser talked-about games. For me though it's a cool little gem of a game, though it's a bit slow for my taste given how used to PC Doom I am with its fast-paced action. It's also kind of funny that I always had to play the original in a dark room or at night because the glare would kill the experience, so it forces the player to kind of isolate themselves and take in the atmosphere that much more.

But yeah, all that aside, it's always been available in some form - some people probably couldn't be bothered to look into it. I tend to play the original on the N64 myself, since anytime I want to play Doom on my PC I'll most likely just play some Doom wads anyway.
