you know, like they did with the casalis. How much would you charge? which style of maps would you do? what about the music? you have 4 months and are only allowed to use new textures you made yourself

If we're talking about making 32 levels in the 90's with 90's editors under a tight schedule and making textures on my own, I'd be reasonably ambitious and just throw in some miscellaneous things like pitch black textures, waterfalls and make small 32 but well playing and well detailed and thematic maps with the 6 episodes formula and charge a reasonable 200$. I might be overestimating 90's economics however, so I'm not really sure.
With the midis I'll just rearrange the stock Doom 2 midis through different maps and have popular music midi renditions like DWANGO did and mix it up a little with Ultimate Doom midis.

I was thinking today, with modern editors and economy
and 200$? I would charge $200 per map

I think I would give them three options to choose from.
For a low price I would promise like 26 quick Scythe-style maps and 6 longer ones so that it doesn't all look rushed. I wouldn't add any new graphics and just rearrange the iwad midis.
For a medium price I would deliver something closer to TNT, with several memorable adventure maps and a number of iwad texture edits to give the project a more unique feel. I would also attempt to compose 5-6 decent midis and reuse some of them one or two times (the rest would still be iwad midis).
For a high price I would somehow learn to draw entirely new good-looking textures and compose awesome midis, spend a lot of time creating a coherent fantasy/sci-fi setting and end up with something similar to Eternal Doom (then probably die due to lack of sleep).
It's hard to come up with the exact numbers though.

I'd make semi-realistic maps where the player travels through various periods of time it will start from Genesis to the end of a futuristic world. It would be hard-coded to use the Boom engine and have 3 episodes; past present future and have 9 maps and a secret map or 2 in each. A bunch miscellaneous textures, and extra patches and skies. Midis are just going to be random tunes I like.
I'll charge 10,000$.

My ideas: A direct sequel to Doom 64, with the marine starting on hell first, then returning to earth. Music would be most rock, doom metal and ambient, absolutely no techno and that easy-listening shit from Doom 2. New textures would be mostly variants of the original ones and I would make a few tree sprites for the city levels
Maps 1 - 11: Hell maps, but not Inferno-styled nonsense, actual cathedrals, evil temples, graveyards, lots of gothic crap, gloomy caves, lava, satanic altars, inverted crosses, pentagrams, rivers of blood etc.... Sky would be blood red
Maps 12 - 20: Techbase levels, lots of terminals, computer screens, nukage, barrels, crates. Sky would be a clouded gray
Maps 21 - 30: Twisted urban maps. A mix of city levels and hell stuff, with civilian buildings and streets being slowly consumed by the influence of hell. Sky would be yellow with burning buildings. Map29 would be doom guy going up a massive demonic tower, with at least 1000 monsters on UV and Map30 would be doom guy fighting Icon Of Sin on the top of this tower.
Map31 : A creepy, vary dark map Map32 : A slaughter map with over 1500 monsters, but with a readily accessible exit so noobs can skip it
