Things in wads that bother you

Things that bother me in wads, coming from a decent player who only saves a couple times in long maps:
Short songs in long levels - If the midi is less than 3 minutes long and I have to kill 500 enemies, I'll most likely IDMUS halfway through or mute the music input and put Foo Fighters or something.
This could be ok if the midi was slow, subtle or ambient.
Forced foreknowledge - It feels horribly unfair to die just because something unexpected happened and killed you, especially late into a map.
I'd appreciate more if the player gets punished but not dead.
One way only - When the player is expected to play only a specific way or to die, that sucks, only a 99.9999999999% of the earth's population is interested in playing the same map for an extraordinarily big amount of times just to figure out, get lucky to find the perfect way and time to beat it, please don't tell that big percent of a population that they're a bunch of boring normies for not having all the time in the world to legitimately beat your outsider kaizo masterpiece.
Unless the map is bite sized like the ones in Swift Death.
Low-tier weapons against mid to high-tier enemies - Nothing puts me more to sleep than tediously doing that.
Of course this can be remedied by using barrels, telefragging and crushers.
In-obvious crushers - Be it for you or for enemies, crushers should be either clear with blood splatters or be long active before you step close or into them.
Unarmoured players against hitscanners - Especially sucks for when the player has to kill them for a weapon or if the enemies teleport/popup.
Constant post-completeion arch-vile spam - It can certainly be nice if it's only a couple times or if it's more spiced up with another gimmick, you can really get creative with various ways an arch-vile can approach a corpse to resurrect if you just try to put your mind into it instead of simply being an uncreative dick.
Drastically differently volume midis - Nobody wants to play with the music volume before they start a map, so don't make them do that.
Deadly enemies in huge distances - This means rocket enemies like revenants and cybers on the other side of the map that you have to fight when you get to them, these kind of enemies should honestly popup when nearby.
No quick back up into hard platforming sections - If there's going to be a hard platforming section you'd like the player to perform, please give them a way to quickly retry it by putting a teleport or stairs below.
