For the past couple months I've really been watching my diet, and getting plenty of exercise five days a week. I still eat everything, but not to excess or late at night. Though I've been staying away from cheese, and sweets as best as possible. Since July, I've lost about 15 pounds, and I now weight about 190 lb, at 6' 2". I've become toned, and have lost my belly. As a result of this, I've been sleeping better, and generally have far less stress. I've completely eliminated smoking and only have a drink or two after I eat. Overall I feel as though my quality of life has improved dramatically. It all started when I was banned from that bar I used to frequent often. A week after that incident, I had blood-work done, and was told my cholesterol was a bit high. This had motivated me improve on myself. I no longer feel lethargic, or negative. I should go back to that place, and thank them for relegating me out of that toxic environment.

Well done, sir! Health is wealth; the older I get the more that hackneyed phrase rings true.

Grats on your progress, KK.
I've read about cold showers reactivating brown fat cells, which are apparently good fat cells burning fat more efficiently. Not sure how much truth there is to that, but there's nothing like freezing water to jolt you out of morning lethargy.

Sounds more like an effect of adrenaline to me, ie: Get me the fuck out of this freezing cold bastard shower. The idea of Good Fat Cells sounds like the same sort of thinking that brought us Friendly Asbestos.
