Doom streamed in a discord chat

In this video, a discord user has gotten a Doom stream to display in the chat window of a discord channel. He rapidly converts the display to ASCII art which shows the game in motion at 1 FPS. He describes how it works in the description of the video.
"How it works:
Every second, the Python script (running as an addon for my Discord bot on a personal server) takes a screenshot of the DOSBox window, converts it into ASCII art using a nifty piece of Python script I found online, and sends it as an edit to the previous message (or "frame").
It's barely recognizeable due to Discord's limit of 5 edits/messages per 5 seconds, meaning I have to run it at 1FPS to avoid hitting the ratelimit, plus the fact that Discord cannot handle messages over 2000 characters long so the scale (or "window") has to be pretty small."
