Doomkid gets all the glory with the first entry.


UAC REBELLION: 2009 (UACrebellion.wad), MAP05.

Two urinals, three toilets, two sinks. This restroom is clean compared to many others. Of course, going by the lichen thriving everywhere, it probably hasn't been cleaned in a decade or so, but it isn't covered in shit, which is a huge plus! The bowls have nice, blue water in them, and the place is well lit. Intensely lit, I'd say. Someone got really crazy with a rivet gun in there, as the entire room is covered in metal plating. Floor, ceiling, walls! That same someone forgot to install any mirrors. The two sinks are filled with water for some reason, and if I am to guess, it is probably because the plumbing is clogged. Even with those drawbacks, this lavatory gets a nice score, because it has mostly good ergonomics, and more importantly, is devoid of any inhuman evil waiting to pounce on an unwary visitor.

As long as the commentary is stupid enough, why not!

Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start:

Doomsday of the UAC

Behold, the first sector toilet of all time:



It's a urinal, I know, but linedefs didn't come cheap back in those days. Back then we had to walk 7 miles to school and ten miles back because we were bad at mapping and got lost on the way home. This, the first great pwad in Doom history, was released to the most reputable bulletin boards of the day on the 23rd of June, 1994, by a gent known as Leo Martin Lim. Leo was a true pioneer and a creative guy, and this E1M8 replacement is full of Doom mapping firsts. Doomsday of the UAC features an overturned truck, and you actually commence the map smuggled in away in a secret compartment in the detached truck trailer. Check out other cool things on offer, such as the courtyard UAC sector logo, the facility lobby, the 666th annual Demon High School Reunion, and the ending where you escape in an awesome space shuttle. Artistic mapping touches were not the only things Leo excelled at, he also invented the invisible sector trick and brought it to life in astonishingly amazing fashion where you have to take an Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade style leap of faith.  But this is about toilets, I digress.

Leo designed not just one, but two bathrooms. This one is the ladies bathroom and which is why there is no urinal and features 5 stalls without toilets inside, unfortunately a missed opportunity but, yanno, linedefs yada yada yada. The stall doors are functioning however:


The other bathroom is the mens, and features the urinal and two big arse extra wide stalls, for what I assume is for either disabled patrons or men requiring that extra space for a man sized manly shit:

I can't help but smile every time I see a sector toilet. It's like an old friend.

I'm such a Doom toilet specialist, I made a whole level dedicated to the topic! The story of the wad is that a demon invasion happened but you missed everything since you were too busy doing your shit. I had an idea for a sequel, which would be called "Toilet Break 2: The Taco Bell Incident", however it hasn't materialized (yet?).

Anyway, I know you came here for the good stuff, so here is the toilet in question in all its glory. It was definitely inspired by the one from my grandparents' dacha, where me and my brother used to stay every summer:

Doom 0 alpha has an apartment with a toilet with a closed lid, a bathtub with openable curtains and impse inside.
Doom 0 has a toilet exit.
Consumed Earth has a toilet with dirty water where if you flush it, it gets clean water.

Some of the finest toiletry in the history of sectory comes from well known Youtube star, Master Stock Texture Manipulator and Linedef Action Man Cyriak Harris, aka Motherfucken Mouldy, from his modern day classic Going Down. He had the generosity to bless us with not just one, but two outstanding Doom Bathrooms. From MAP02 it's a rather inviting washroom for office cu grunts. Ogle that gorgeous tiling, marvel and wonder how people can see their reflection in the modwall mirror, delight in the added security and comfort a 64 pixel wide door3 provides although privacy is lacking when they all open simultaneously:



MAP15 contains in my esteemed opinion the greatest bathroom in Doomkind, no shit. Or actually quite literally shit. I don't think a finer bathroom could be made even with custom texturing. This would be the Demons’ bathroom, resplendent in its cement decor and framed picture of 40oz Adolf. Watch the bath water though, those Demons are filthy cunts.

Thank you joe-ilya for your contributions! BattleKorbi as described in the op, all bathroom talk is officially welcome here and certainly encouraged.

Interactive toilets and urinals that flush are always a plus. I also like the added touch of using cement or ickwall textures for icky-ness and brown water in the bowl. Nukage not so much.

I appreciate the tile work in BattleKorbi's bathroom too. A pristine bathroom is also very nice.

Since I was allowed to post sinks and mirrors, here is the "lobby" to the pic above.

Lil' baccstory: What you see here is a 120x cleaner version of my old high school's men's restroom (for kids obvs, I even made the teacher's restrooms bc I was allowed to go there once or twice because I was such a good boi). I tried to replicate the sheer messiness and the post-apo aesthetic it has in real life but I got bored I guess. Anyways, there would be like only two-three uncracked mirrors, tons of missing tiles, derelict ceiling, stuff like that. 



The aforementioned teacher's restroom (i assume the female version is the same but without the urinals). It's also a lot cleaner than the kids' one, gee I wonder why.



Of course, this was all before I learned how to do 3D sectors, otherwise, this would have all been shaped properly and would look realistic. Because that was kinda the aim of the map in question.

And, yeah, we use a lot of tiles here. I knew how to criss-cross textures so that one part would be tiles and other the pure white walls but I got bored or something. Yeah.

(Oh heck I forgot to put those big-ass windows they had right above the toilets, like, a meter up or something. Darn.)
