First they rip off Brutal Doom and now Eternal Doom? Have the cunts no shame? In all seriousness it does look quite promising for a modern game. Is it just me or does the Archvile look more like an Archvile than Doom in 2016?

That looks pretty sexy!
Looks like more hell maps, which is a good thing. It does feel awkward to say "Doom Eternal" vs "Eternal Doom." That's going to be annoying to google eternal doom now and have to filter through all the non new doom related links. Aside from that, I trust idsoftware/bethesda will do a good job with this new release.

Doom 2016 sucked, this one will suck too. Don’t be so pessimistic 40oz. Although it will never be the way the original Dooms are in regards to replayability it was a fucken awesome first time experience, much better than Doom 3. |

What I am excited by is the fact that they will be able to use monster models from the previous Doom release along with other things like weapon models, core mechanics, sounds...just like they did for Doom II...so maybe we won't have to wait nearly as long as we had to for Doom 2016. |

Haha, I was just messing around.
I noticed a couple of things in the trailer upon my umpteenth viewing...in the first couple seconds, you see a skeleton with what I think looks like the Doomguy helmet next to it...can this mean a new protagonist that's avenging the death of "Our Hero?" Or perhaps it's a homage to the "second marine" theory circulating around the original DOOM's box art which showed a second marine in the background? Also, those tentacle monsters reminded me of those weird worm monsters found in Freedoom...anybody else get reminded of that?

I'm hyped, it looks darker and more serious than Doom 2016 was, which was my "biggest" problem with that game.
Now all we need to do is wait for more info. I hope the campaign will be longer and they ditch the arena style combat if it's going to be more open. Looks like some demons even got some upgrades and some of them return (sup Arachnotron).

It’ll be interesting to see the gameplay video in August. Hoping the leveling up system in regards to weapons gets ditched.
