I finished Serious Sam 2 recently , one of my favourite games when I was kid. The soundtrack was so awesome and made me nostalgic.

As much as Serious Sam 2 is a bit slower to get going than the others in the series and much more cartoon-y, it is still a lot of fun. Looking at my Steam play statistics, it seems to be shorter than the other games, but that might be because it's a little easier overall. The soundtrack is indeed fantastic and some of the world design is spectacular. I was particularly impressed by the mish-mash Asian world with all the hot air balloons, as I remember it.

I love the designs in Serious Sam 2. I think it's pretty brilliant and I wish Croteam would stop ignoring that they made that game  . |

Here's me talking about Daikatana again... But I think the soundtrack to the game was pretty good, and fit the different episodes/chapters really well, even though some of the maps were a bit big and the music would just loop.
These ones are my favorites from each time period

one of my favorite shmup soundtracks, nice and relaxing unlike most. also one of my favorite shmups as it's easy to get into like Deathsmiles (but is vertical, not horizontal like Death Smiles), has huge weapons that fill up the majority of the screen, and is just THE gateway shmup into bullet hell shooters.
