The vocalist of two of my favorite bands, Nevermore and Sanctuary, has died of a heart attack in Brazil while working on his second solo album. If you have not heard him before, listen to the first track on this album and learn why he was a legend.

Wow, I hadn't heard about this. That first Sanctuary album, "Refuge Denied", is fantastic. I remember discovering it in the mid-to-late 90's and loving it. And it was produced by Dave Mustaine of Megadeth! I actually saw Nevermore at Jax in Springfield, VA in 2008 when they opened for Opeth. I was never a fan of Nevermore, but the band certainly had a loyal following and Warrel put on a good performance. RIP Warrel Dane. He will be missed.

Did you check out Santuary's newest release, The Year The Sun Died? Fucking phenomenal. "Arise and Purify" is a great track.
Very jealous that you got to see them live.
