I think a lot of music gets kind of ruined because the artists believe that it is necessary to have lyrics even though they don't know jack shit about poetry. It would be great if we had more music without lyrics. But human voice is still a powerful instrument and it would be a shame to get rid of it completely. So let's sing with no meaning!
What songs or bands can you recommend in this field?
The first thing that comes to my mind is Magma, KMXEXII's favorite band. They sing in a made up language and admit that it doesn't really have a clear structure or anything, so it pretty much fits the criteria. They have lots of songs where you can see the vocalist having tons of fun making all sorts of interesting noises. It's supposed to sound like alien music and it definitely succeeds in that. Here is just one example to get you started:
Hocus Pocus by Focus is also a mandatory viewing if you're not familiar with it yet:

The Melvins have been singing nonsensical lyrics in most of their songs since the 80s. This demonstrates the idea of voice as an instrument: Lyrics in spoiler: Lyrics Lost icka toe rest Might like a sender doe ree Your make a doll a ray day sender bright like a penalty Exit ease my ray day member half lost a beat away Purst in like a one-way sender War give a heart like a fay 'Cause I can ford a red reed Only street wide, a reed land Diamond make a mid-evil bike A sake like a reed caste 'Cause I can ford a red reed Only street wide, a reed land On a reed land Find a reed land You sink my swan Rolly get a worst in Maybe minus way far central Poor forty duck a pin Milk maid dud bean Master a load a head Pill pop a dope A well-run general hash pump gonna led

Nice, I'm a big Magma fan too. "Alien music" is a good way to describe it. They are so incredibly weird, lol. I think these are my favorite songs they've done. There is this certain anxious, unsettling vibe to their music that really appeals to me:
Also, Paul Chain comes to mind. He uses an entirely phonic made-up language, aside from a few chorus repeat bits. He plays Doom Metal. Unique voice too, very young and psychedelic sounding. "Alkahest" is a great album. Full of strange sorcery:

Then there's Fantomas, with Mike Patton on vocals. I say vocals loosely, Mike employs his vocal chords to make guttural sounds, squeals and other unintelligible gibberish. But it's good!
