11 Reasons Your Phony ‘Concern’ for Fat People’s Health Has Got to Stop
^ This is one of the funniest things I've read in ages. Truly sublime. 40,000 shares? Fucking hell. Watch as the feminist retards continue to twist logic in every way conceivable. This time, in order to defend their own flabby blubber.
Being overweight is obviously scientifically proven to be unhealthy. A fourth grade child knows this. I'll be honest, if one of my close friends started turning into a bloated beach ball I'd nicely remind them to be watchful of what they eat. Because I care. To me that is nothing more than a friendly reminder. Seems logical right? Nope, according to Every Day Feminism:
1. "Stereotyped Assumptions About Someone’s Weight Are Oppressive"
Oh, of fucking course. I should have known. "Think of the impact this has on their lives!" Wah! These tears taste like pure, liquefied salt of refined butthurt. Ultimately, point number one boils down to: "Don't hurt my feelings." Some of these folks are so unbelievably sensitive that simply proposing the basic idea of weight loss is enough of a reason to cause hurt feelings. Break down into a full-on menopausal tantrum. Well too bad, your feelings don't remove the fact that scientific evidence shows being overweight is unhealthy. Grow some thicker skin and face reality.
2. "Because Fat Doesn’t Kill"
Okay, let's analyze their "proof." Source #1 is a dead link. Source #2 (the one that supposedly disproves the unhealthy fact of obesity) is this right here. An excerpt:
"CONCLUSIONS:
Underweight and obesity, particularly higher levels of obesity, were associated with increased mortality relative to the normal weight category. The impact of obesity on mortality may have decreased over time, perhaps because of improvements in public health and medical care. These findings are consistent with the increases in life expectancy in the United States and the declining mortality rates from ischemic heart disease."
Bravo. This proves nothing. In fact, it makes their own claim sound completely illegitimate. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are still saying fat kills, they just came to the conclusion that our improving technology is able to (slightly better) combat the artery clogging effects of your garbage diet. That's all this "proof" really means, you retarded feminists.
3. "Because Fat Doesn’t Cause Disease Either"
Again, absolute nonsense. These risk factors for obesity are also the exact same risk factors for diabetes. Shocking, I know. Every Day Feminism uses some hilariously drawn-out word salad bullshit about "cause and causation" but it's just an attempt to try and confuse the simple.
"Both dieting and weight cycling – that is, the process of going on a diet, losing weight, regaining the weight (and sometimes more), then going on another diet, losing weight, regaining the weight, and on and on and on – increases inflammation."
Yep, that is their so called "proof" that exercise is dangerous. They cherry pick an extreme weight loss technique study (1200 calories a day + cycling). Who the fuck does that? No normal, sane person. Or you could just, you know, exercise and eat a normal amount. Like a normal human being. Instead of starving yourself in a repeating cycle. Obviously that is going to be unhealthy. But hey, want to know what else causes inflammation? Being overweight and obese.
4. "Because, If Anything, Fatphobia Causes Adverse Health Effects"
"It’s hard to be a fat person in our society." No, it's hard to quit your addiction to unhealthy foods. Fat, sugar, salt. It's also hard for you to move around and run for longer than two minutes. That is what's truly hard about being fat. Don't you dare try and fucking spin the issue and place the blame on everyone else. Oh, but they do.
"And in a world where weight discrimination is as prevalent as sexism and racism, it’s easy to understand that being of size is a stressful experience." Really? Last time I checked obesity is an addiction. A byproduct of the food industry that has chemically engineered junk food to be as addicting as possible. You have fallen into their trap, and now you must get yourself out. This has nothing to do with racism or sexism, you absolute fools.
"We live in a society that hates fat people." Nah, we're just tired of hearing you folks bitch and complain about being fat. Tired of your negative effects on the health and medical care system. So we try and offer you helpful advice, but you still bitch and complain about "fatphobia." These people have no shred of credibility whatsoever. Completely and utterly hypocritical.
5. "Because Mental Health Is Also Health"
True, which is why it's important for us to offer our scientifically proven facts from a calm, non-confrontational standpoint. Lest we provoke the tears. But you know what? Sometimes I get get fed up with bullshit slanderous lying articles and it makes staying calm and friendly a very difficult challenge indeed. Still, I try my best. Because heaven forbid we curse and upset their "mental health."
6. "Because ‘Glorifying Obesity’ Isn’t a Bad Thing"
Woah, slow down. Let's not get too carried away here. I'm still trying to contain the laughter. But yes, you heard right! Glorifying the detrimental health implications of unhealthy eating and a sedentary lifestyle is a GREAT thing! Fantastic thing, actually. Brilliant thing. We should do it more often.
Actually no, fuck that.
7. "Because One-Size-Fits-All Definitions of ‘Health’ Are Ableist and Perpetuate Heathism"
Heathism? What the hell is that? Do they mean healthism? That isn't a word either. How about Heathenism? Nope, still makes no sense. Anyway...
The rest of this point is basically the author claiming that there is no way to define health. It's all bogus. Who cares if we're an unhealthy species and die? Hey look, here's an article that links obesity to depression, among a hundred other things. There's a good chance that the perpetual butthurt these fat people endure stems from the continuously deteriorating state of their own biological mass. Brain, body and all. Just throwing that out there.
8. "Because Weight Loss Doesn’t Actually Improve Health Anyway"
Another blatant fallacy.
"So the studies don’t prove that weight loss itself is improving health. What they may be showing is something we agree with: that lifestyle changes – like eating more nutritious foods and getting regular physical activity – lead to better health."
Yeah, no fucking shit! And guess what happens when you do those things? You get healthier, and subsequently lose weight. Because you're more active, you eat less, and your brain releases more dopamine. Which helps make you feel happier. The solution is right there in the article! But instead they fight to legitimize excuses for being lazy. Sorry, I don't buy it.
9. "Because No, Being Fat Is Not At All Like Being a Smoker"
Wrong, it is very similar. Both are addictions affecting the release of dopamine and serotonin in the brain. An eating disorder is far more similar to smoking than it is to racism or sexism. Remember when they made that bullshit comparison earlier? Hah! But yeah smoking? Completely different guys.
10. "Because You’re Subscribing to a Harmful Bootstraps Myth Mentality"
This entire point is basically saying that we must form "body currency" by learning to love our fat, out of shape bodies. That's a hard thing to do when the negative health effects are very much still real and present. They are not going to magically disappear. This mentality is like treating a wound with a band-aid. It doesn't address what caused the wound in the first place. Rather than try and fight against your own body in an attempt to feel happy, you could get in shape and feel happy in a way that comes with a plethora of benefits. Eat healthy food in normal quantities, and go for a regular run. It's not rocket science. In fact, it's pretty fucking simple.
11. "Because, Straight Up, Fat-Shaming Just Makes You a Jerk"
Right, my concern for the growing widespread obesity epidemic suddenly makes me a jerk. Then I guess that makes me a proud jerk.
End rant.
