self-explanatory title
already read: - fuan no tane - uzumaki - that one with the fish people (I didn't liked it, so I never finished) - amigara fault / guy stuck under the house - that one with people stuck on a plane with a virus that explode heads

There is a popular one called Ibitsu about a creepy stalker girl, personally I found the story lame and the character annoying but if you love obsessive girls (like in Mirai Nikki) this one is for you I suppose.
I don't fully understand horror comics to be honest. Can static pictures seriously scare you? No jump scares, no tense music, no fast-paced chases or anything. I guess if the author doesn't try to copy movies and goes for a more atmospheric story instead, it's still possible to create something reasonably creepy but I haven't encountered many good examples of that. I've also seen manga with totally disgusting drawings but disgusting is not scary, it's something different, like what you feel when looking at certain insects.

well, I think horror fans take delight in anything that is horrific and macabre, they don't necessarily want to get scared. I can't picture anyone getting scared by Lovecraft's tales of giant squids, yet, they are very popular by sheer creepiness factor

Digimortal. It isn't really pure horror but more some freaky cyberpunk manga but it was made by "Nihei" who also created Blame! Digimortal:

I hope you enjoy it. Though it is advised to read "Blame!" and it's related manga named "Noise" to get a hang of how Nihei tells his stories. A lot of visuals. Sometimes very minimal amounts of text. It's kind of an experience in terms of visual world building. They aren't true horror, but they take place in a completely rebuilt world where the buildings reach into space, even past the moon. Humans are on the brink of being exterminated. Weird silicon based life forms made as a real world avatar for the rich - who live inside of a digital space - are rampant. Those creatures want to destroy all worthless low level humans who don't have a net gene.

Anything by Junji ito really. although i havent read anything i can already tell by the artwork itself.
and btw STAY THE HELL AWAY from Yandere shit. its lame af. and dont go into any of those communities, they are deranged.
the first time i heard of Junji ito was when i found a zedge wallpaper of his snow white rendition. i found out what it was after an image search. i definitely plan on reading that whenever humanly possible. i am even using an edited version of the picture for my Upcoming Horror wad Devil's Hour (i know i have been working on it ever since last october, but its still coming guys)

I'm not normally into manga but I'm obsessed with underground comics. Anyways The Mansion Press released some Shintaro Kago stuff which introduced me to ero guro (sort of, I was already intimately familiar with Toshio Saeki's woodblock prints). And then I found Suehiro Maruo's Shouju Tsubaki, translated into English as Mr Arashi's Amazing Freakshow. It's about a girl who is forced to join a traveling freakshow and gets abused by the sadistic circus performers. The vibe is kind of like a midnight movie with psychedelic/fantastical elements and not a funny bone in its body. I really wouldn't expect anyone to like it but I think it's fantastic.

Kouishou Radio by the same author as Fuan no Tane if you're into crepypasta / japanese urban legends. Sadly unfinished, as the author had a mental breakdown or something. Should also point out that since 2020 Fuan no Tane had a second season, if you can read moon runes the scans are readily available.

When Shintaro Kago is not trying to gross you out he can be really funny.
