What kind of phone do you have? Do you like it? What kind of phone are you thinking about getting next? Why? Are phone companies granting access to our private data to the government, enabling them to spy on all of our phone conversations, texts, and browser history which is likely to be accidentally leaked to terrorist hackers who will use that information to manipulate the media and eventually brainwash us to do everything they want? What? I didn't say that...? What are you talking about?
I have a defunct windows phone which I've been clinging to for a while but the web browser loads websites super slow, facebook is a disaster, and the battery doesn't last me much longer than a day. It was great when it was new, though. Although at times I just want to drop everything and go to flip phone so I'm not tempted to procrastinate by distracting myself with websites full of endless unnecessary content. There are a lot of useful benefits to a nice smartphone, though. I'm undecided between going to a Droid or to a Samsung Galaxy. I'd like something that I can do my Doom stuff on so I don't have to go to my computer every single time I just want to look at someones map in an editor or take a screenshot of something or just make some basic graphics. Not sure if I'll like it though if my outdated doom shit won't work comfortably on it.

I'm currently using a HTC phone.
It's alright, it was really fast back when I bought it (it shipped with Android 4.4.4 if I'm not mistaken) and it was a major improvement over my previous Samsung mobile, but after 2 major updates it had become much slower, though still fine most of the time. I'm not doing much on it, beside reading stuff that's coming in .pdf or Office something, playing music, watching videos, chatting, and browsing the web there's nothing else I do on it. Never have, never will install games, I even have only a low amount of apps installed and all garbage uninstalled or disabled.
Dunno what phone I'll get next, tbh I'm not following what's coming out in the mobile department so I guess I'll just look for something more powerful but not very expensive. After all, a phone is something you change every 2-3yrs or so, there's no point in investing a lot of money in one.

What kind of phone do you have? A Sony Xperia X Compact, whoo! My parents (yeah I'm a kiddo) bought it to me for New Year. Before that I was 10 months without a phone after I broke my hipster-ass Nokia 700 in February 2017. RIP It's literally the smallest (4,6 inches) decent phone you can get nowadays (which is important to me) so I didn't really have a choice anyway. But yeah I like it a lot. I wish it were a bit smaller tho, 4,6 is still a bit too big IMO. 4,0 inches is the sweet spot IMO. What kind of phone are you thinking about getting next? I'll probably stick with this one for the next 2-3 years so not really thinking about it. But considering my preference for small phones, I can already say that it'll most likely be another Sony. Are phone companies granting access to our private data Y'all gonna bash me, but I honestly don't care. I'm fine with it, as long as I don't know about it and it doesn't influence my routine. I actually think government surveillance brings more good than harm. Screw your perceived internet freedom and privacy, I legit don't wanna die in a terrorist attack. Although that'd be a cool death, all things considered UGH GOING OFFTOPIC I GUESSSSSSSS Get a Sony yo, can't regret it! Samsung is a great choice too though, literally can't miss if you get a Samsung. Whoa you're a hipster! I've always wanted to own a HTC, but unfortunately they're kinda screwed as a company rn, so they release like 2 models a year, and even those two are like 6 inch behemoths uhhhhhhhhhhh not my thing 2big4me lmao which is honestly a shame because their designs are kickass

I currently have two phones in use... An Honor 7X (by Huawei) as my actual phone, which is a pretty nice cheap handset that feels and behaves like one step-down from a current flagship with an extra-widescreen (which is nice...) and a Sony Xperia Z which I've had for 5 years or more and still works just fine, but was becoming very physically worn out. The latter now lives in my car, plugged into my stereo as an MP3 store. The Honor 7X, despite being an Android, is annoyingly locked down and therefore doesn't play ball with the Kenwood receiver. The Audio Jack connection between the two of them sounded horrendous, too, so I'll have to think Bluetooth the next time I get any choice in car stereo. I like the Xperia Z for it's long service and I like both phones for decent performance and expandable storage (although the Honor 7X has 64GB built in). The 7X does chap my arse a bit with how locked down it is for an android, but I guess that's Chinese tech mentality or something. Legitimately hard work to get music on to the fucker without a straight download. It also makes the Xperia Z look small, which is cool for Netflix and it feels pretty good in the hand (the Xperia now feels as flimsy as a phone that can be bent slightly should do), but it can be an arse in some pockets.
I've only had the 7X a few months, so I'll probably give it a good 4+ year run yet. It's more than sufficient and seems to be pretty good quality.

I own Asus Zenfone 5. On one hand, it's a really decent Android phone with a plenty of cool features and an amazingly high quality camera, even though it's only 5 megapixels. On the other hand, my phone in particular was somewhat broken from the beginning in the way that Google Play never worked for me, no matter what I did, so the only way for me to get apps is download them from the Internet (not that it's a big problem, really). My phone is also a shovel in terms of size, which makes it uncomfortable to carry in the pocket. I'd want to buy a smaller phone, really, but I'm not sure which one. Not that I have any spare money to buy it, anyway.
