There's so much news and stuff going around on the internet, that even when something pretty immediate, serious, and relevant to my interests happens, I hesitate to post about it because people probably already know about it or it's probably already been covered elsewhere. I occasionally post some dumb news articles around here but it's usually only if I know this thing happened within that last 12 hours or so. After that it becomes old news, right?
I'd like to be a little more lenient on myself (and everyone else here) about posting "news" even if its not new by today's standards. There's a lot of shit news reporters out there and I don't care about the comments of the average losers who want to be first and most popular to comment on something. Above anything else, I'd like to see comments and discussions about it from people whose opinions I care about (that's you!)

A wizard is never premature, 40oz. He comes precisely when he means to.

How about instead of focusing on the issue you focus on your perspective on the issue?
